Man, for like a month now I've been trying to figure out a way to cram a mini ramp into my house, my garage, or even try to extend my patio and build one there. I wanted it to be under cover/insulated so I could skate it when the weather is shit. Anyone ever deal with a back issue while skating? I'm like 95% sure I have a bulging disk. It's not from skating, pretty sure just really bad posture for a long period of time put me in a compromised position, then something finally let go a couple weeks ago when I took an awkward stumble.I'm trying to rehab it through basic mobility and workouts. What's really frustrating is after 2-3 days I'll feel almost perfect again, go out skating, and all it takes is one awkward shift or lean for me to throw my fucking back out again. Pretty sure the solution is just to stay off the board a bit until it's fully recovered, but again shit's just fucking annoying because I'll feel ok then go out and fuck it up again. shout out the anons who have rolled their ankles and are being patient by staying off the board to recover properly. this shit takes master levels of willpower, especially in the final 2 weeks when you feel like you can actually skate, but would be more prone to injury again. My big find for ankle recovery is after you have let it rest for about 4 weeks, kneel-sit japanese style with the tops of your feet flat against the floor and gently lower your weight onto your heels and sit there for a few mins. stretches the ankles out amazingly and makes it feel 10x better the next day.
