I've barely touched sloppa since London. Still so full...
Speaking of London they really should've done a trip to a gym and lifted some seriously heavy shit. Instead all they did was tourist shit and eat food which didn't really do anything to challenge the stereotype of sumo wrestlers just being fatsos. Imagine if they saw Takerufuji shoulder pressing 200kg. "They're just fat" wouldn't really cover that.
>>245751I heard that Ura wanted to do a collab with Bonnie Blue but the schedule didnt work in the end
>>245752God imagine if Asanoyama had been there.

>pass me the controller bro
September basho started on the 14th. November basho is starting on the 8th. So not only is there less time than usual to wait but we got London kino in the middle of it. I haven't cared even slightly about sloppa for weeks.

heres some news Chris missed:Komusubi Yasuseinishiki (21, Ajigawa stable), who won 11 matches in the Autumn Tournament as a new sanyaku wrestler, attended a celebration in Osaka City on the 24th to celebrate the launch of his first personal support group, the "Osaka Yasuseinishiki Support Group." Osaka is a place of special memories for Yasuseinishiki, as he visited Japan from his native Ukraine and attended training sessions with the Kansai University Sumo Club. Kansai University alumni were among the organizers, and the event attracted 200 people."I feel very happy. I want to work hard to live up to the support they have shown me," Yasuseinishiki said, expressing his determination to live up to the support he received from his personal support group, which was launched in a foreign country, just over two years after his sumo debut."I can't wait to return to Osaka next year. I want to work hard and aim to return as an ozeki next year." His master, stablemaster Ajigawa (former sekiwake Aminishiki), was a guest of honor and spoke of his determination to help the master-disciple achieve his early promotion to ozeki.
The supporters' association sets out its annual schedule, holding a send-off party in Osaka before the Spring Tournament each year. The master and disciple are aiming for promotion to ozeki by March of next year. Regarding the ozeki challenge at the Kyushu Tournament (first day November 9th, Fukuoka International Center), Takadagawa, the head of the judging committee (former sekiwake Akinoshima), who handles promotion issues, stated his principle after the final bout of the Autumn Tournament that "the starting point is once you've reached san'yaku," but added, "However, the door (to ozeki) is still open." While promotion may be contingent on the Kyushu Tournament, the benchmark for ozeki promotion is a total of 33 wins over three san'yaku tournaments. While Yasuseinishiki has achieved double-digit wins in four consecutive tournaments since his debut in the makuuchi division, he is still only in san'yaku for one tournament, so a significantly stronger performance will be required to be promoted after the Kyushu Tournament. The Kyushu Tournament, which runs until the Spring Tournament next year, and the Hatsu Tournament in January, will see the 21-year-old dominating the action on the ring.
>>245889So basically another 11-4 won't get him promoted in November, and anything higher than that will likely see him in title contention. A 13-2, assuming all are healthy, would mean he would have to beat at least one of the ozeki and yokozuna.
>>245890>A 13-2, assuming all are healthy, would mean he would have to beat at least one of the ozeki and yokozuna. That's only assuming Kotozakura is back.
>>245891Also assuming Hosh doesn't hurt his toe again.
>>245892Also assuming Onosato doesn't blow out is big fat back.
>>245890>another 11-4 won't get him promoted in NovemberYes it will, they're just talking shit. They need another ozeki to balance and fill out the banzuke so they will be keen to promote to first available candidate ASAP. They talked up "muh tough and strict promotion standards" when Hosh's rope was at stake, but then they promoted him on basis of "well he almost made the grade and thats good enough"
>>245894>They need another ozeki to balance and fill out the banzukeWhy do you feel the need to act like an expert when you don't even know the basics?
Teru got ozeki in 2015 on the strength of 33 over 3 basho starting from m2, that was the last time something like that happened, so they'll give it to Dan if he gets 11 in November.
>>245896No he didn't. It was 33 wins plus a Yusho (and a Jun-Yusho).
>>245896Teru had a yusho and a 13-2 jun in that run, which happened when there were three yokozuna and three ozeki each. He was 7-5 against ozeki and yokozuna, including a win over Hakuho.
>>245894>They need another ozeki to balance and fill out the banzukeI hate that idiots still parrot stuff like this
>>245897he also had a cringe 8-7
>>245900Yeah, but 5 of those wins were against san'yaku, including 2 Ozeki.
>>245783>posting this faggot garbageBuy a fucking ad already.
>>245806>pic relatedGot robbed. Should be the head gyoji right now.
>>245890>So basically another 11-4 won't get him promoted in November,I think it depends on who he wins against, and whether he gets a yusho or jun-yusho. If he kicks the shit out of the sanyaku and has a high double digit record, that'll probably be enough. If he gets a yusho or jun-yusho with double digits, that'll probably do it too. IF, however, he gets his shit pushed in by the sanyaku but still gets double digits, and doesn't yusho or jun-yusho, I think they'll make him wait.
>>245892i broke my little toe yesterday and shit hurts, the whole left half of that foot is swollen and purplebasically what im saying is that im ready to become the 76th yokozuna
>>245912More like to become the next Komanokuni
>>245913i already have the physique
>>245896I mean, Tochi got his oozeki with one of the tours being maegashira, albeit the 3rd one was a tour win. It's not entirely set in stone, so any particularly good performance may balance it out
>>245915Tochi got it because he scored 36 wins in three bashos and capped with a yusho. Way exceeding the threshold like that is a classic way of getting some slack in the details.
Nabatame forma de demotion
Teru went 1-3 v Yokozuna in his run. Thus far Dan is 2-2 against them with a basho in hand. Dan is guaranteed to have to fight more Yokozuna than what Teru did, with half a shot at a 50% winrate against them. He also has a JY, stacks of special prizes, and started his run as the 8th best rikishi in Japan which when Teru started his run would've had Dan at S1w.Don't forget that places in the banzuke change relatively speaking. Teru was the 13th ranked at the start of his run, putting him where fucking Gonoyama was in September at M3w.I could MAYBE understand denying Dan on 33 wins, but if he's denied on 34 it would be fucking ridiculous.
>>245901Dan had 5 wins vs sanyaku in both July & September
>>245933he will 100% get promoted on 33
I wonder how Onosato would react to Aonishiki doing the big Hakuho step backwards before the tachiai.
>>245938forget that, give it some harite
Oozeki is very doable, for sure, but the strange discourse I see online are prospects of Yokozuna. With the current roster him winning two bashos in a row while at oozeki (after he makes oozeki) would require no les than three miracles.I also find that prospect unnecessary, him hitting oozeki anytime next year is still beyond a respectable position to be in, he still has some great feats under his belt, especially in such a short tenure, but making 'zuna seems just that much further away
>>245942I think people just want to see the bar being pushed constantly, but Onosato blew the bar so far that now people are just saying stupid things.
>>245942>>245943It happens anytime there is breakout performance entering makuuchi.People were naming this era after Takerufuji after his basho win from M17.Vocal people like to get excited over possibilities as early as they can.None of it matters.
>>245928He's never wearing white again.
>>245942>With the current rosterThis is a meaningless metric. It only takes one or two bashos to completely change the landscape of perceived strength. Remember when Kotozakura was a titan? Remember when Kirishima was a hair's breadth away from yokozuna? For all we know, by March Aonishiki might be the overwhelming favourite to win. However, it's a double-edged sword - Aonishiki is a hot prospect, one of the hottest we've ever had, but it only takes one bad basho to torpedo an ozeki run, one stupid loss to scupper your yokozuna chances, one awkward fall to injure you and change the entire trajectory of your career. This time next year, we might laugh at the very idea of Aonishiki ever returning to the san'yaku.
>>245946>it only takes one bad basho to torpedo an ozeki runWaka...
>>245946>one of the hottest we've ever hadkeep it in your pants, lad
>>245946>one awkward fall to injure you and change the entire trajectory of your careerLike Takerufuji >>245944
>>245951there is nothing saying the asanoyama match changed the entire trajectory of taker's career.he is just "le strong push man" he has no special talent or ability, he is like a smaller weaker version onosato. his trajectory was probably always to surprise people when he was new and then to get solved quickly and become mid mægashira tier. he is nothing to compare to aonishiki who is not only massively strong but also has the deepest technique bag in the division and quick reflexes to put his techniques into play. the way he reversed that throw on horse was god tier stuff, straight out of a harimanada episode
>>245953>he is just "le strong push man"Literally Onosato when he first got to makuuchi.
>>245953>mægashirano
>>245954Onosato always had the technique to back it up.>le right hand grip with le left arm block ad infinitumAnd now that he's learn he can just stretch his arms out and push he's unstoppable. Takeru was never good. He punked out a cheap yusho because the matchmaking in Makuuchi is retarded.
>>245953I think the biggest factor is that he's such a new sekitori that he hasn't yet fallen victim to an injury that he can't take time off to heal properly from. It doesn't have to be a particularly bad injury for the constant tournaments and touring schedule to wear a man down. He's undersized for sumo and he puts himself in some very demanding positions to pull off a lot of his techniques, so an injury is bound to come along sooner or later. For me, the question is whether or not he'll be an ozeki when it happens, allowing him to use his kadoban allowance to try and heal.
>>245956>Onosato always had the technique to back it up.
>>245957This.
>>245956>He punked out a cheap yusho because the matchmaking in Makuuchi is retardedThis will forever be the most retarded cope in these threads.
>>245960>t. owns a walls of Kotoshoho merchandise
>>245961If it's so easy to do why did it take someone over 100 years to do it?
>>245962Not that Anon, but that's a completely different argument since now you're talking about rookies, not just low ranking Maegashira.
>>245962Huh? There was only 8 basho between the last two times a Maegashitter won a yusho.
>Turn on slop>New sekitori>What the fuck? Who dis? >It's Mita with a top knotAbout damn time.
>>245964I meant someone winning their debut.>>245963>that's a completely different argument since now you're talking about rookiesYeah, specifically we're talking about Takerufuji. People just keep pretending he had some comically easy schedule when he beat Onosato and one of the ozeki. He only lost to Hosh (4-1 against Onosato) and Asanoyama (should've probably been an Ozeki but he's a retard). Now people just want to pretend like he's some shit wrestler when it's obvious he's just been dealing with a serious injury. I know sports fans are pretty famoulsy stupid, but I kind of expected better from this kind of niche sport.
>>245958thats a picture of him winning the tournament
>>245966>I know sports fans are pretty famoulsy stupid>famoulsyI don't disagree with your take on Takerufuji's strength of schedule, but bringing up debutants when it has absolutely nothing do with low maegashira SoS is also stupid.
God I hate you retards sometimes.I mentioned Takerufuji only as an example of social media posts blowing up over a new hot prospect when anything can happen. >>245944It happens every time.I WAS NOT trying to compare rikishi. Those arguments of "well so and so had an easier schedule" are even more pointless than speculating on the future trajectory of the wrestlers.
>>245957>He's undersized for sumomaybe he was when he debuted in the top division, but he isn't anymore, he has been packing on weight fast. 150kg/183cm is about average for makuuchi
>>245965if you tsukedashi and don't make the top division before you tie your hair then its over for you, you're fated to spend your career in juryo with the occasional appearance and losing record as a high double digit megashitter
>>245968>bringing up debutants when it has absolutely nothing do with low maegashiraI didn't "bring up" anything. My first post was a reply to >>245956 talking about Takeru. That's been the topic the whole time for me.

>>245976I've had my eye on Kuwae, Mita has definitely made a positive impact on his sumo.If he keeps improving as he has over the last year I can definitely see him making sekitori with a Hiradoumi style fight plan.
>>245979>Okay maybe not Koga.
>>245974not necessarily, he might be one of those guys who can make it to 30 juryo bashoes and get a kabu. or he might end up making himself into a high school coach. it isn't over for him like it is for some of the worse cases in his stable, he is just fated to never make it past m12. those guys who have hidenoumi tier careers still end up doing pretty good compared to the average jap
>>245983That kabu Mita will take? Futagoyama.
>>245983Well... he has yet to kachikoshi, so I'd say it's too early to say anything.
>>245985*make-koshi, obv.
Reminder that Mita would be Makuuchi next basho if the SHITnpans hadn't missed that blatant hairpull on day 10 from the guy who took the Juryo yusho. Both Mita and Asanoyama were robbed by that.
Reminder that no one cares because it only happened in your dumb little Reddit brain.

>>246100Wait did Aonishiki jump the ranks as Ura was going down so they never met? Damn that'll be a good one.
>>246106I can't, but I know it's what all the oyakata (stable-masters and coaches) have that keeps them in the JSA after they retired from the dohyo. In order to qualify you need to make sanyaku or have something like 30 basho at sekitori. Elder stock are very valuable and big>SCANDALShave erupted over them in the past. My understanding is that the JSA put the clamps on this with regulations... somewhat. Beyond that... and there is MUCH beyond that, i know, I am as clueless as you.
>>246114Yes. Their only meeting so far was in London.
>>246106The JSA is a closed organization, and you need to have one of 105 elder stock in order to be a coach, stablemaster, and executive within the organization. Eligibility to become an elder is based on results as a salaried wrestler as well as Japanese citizenship. Ozeki and yokozuna are allowed limited temporary elder stock when they retire, but only for three or five years. Everyone else has to have elder stock when they retire, or they're permanently removed from the JSA and can't return.
>>246118Not him but how do you secure a kabu? Do you just walk up to someone holding one and be like>Yo bitch I've been in Makuuchi for six years give me your kabu
>>246119It used to be that you had to buy them from elders about to retire. This was a complicated process that basically amounted to who had the bigger supporters network and could win the bidding war. Pissing off your supporters network is the fastest way to get kicked to the curb (see Akebono). After the post-2011 reforms, they're officially not supposed to be bought and sold anymore, but in practice there's still under-the-table dealings to secure funding for the JSA, part of which goes to repaying the elders who bought their shares before the reforms, as well as political jockeying.
>>246120Wow thanks for the info but you didn't answer the question.
>>246121I literally did, try reading next time.
>>246123NTA, you didn't you said how it USED to be. I assume you meant that now you buy it from the JSA instead of the elder?
>>246124>After the post-2011 reforms, they're officially not supposed to be bought and sold anymore, but in practice there's still under-the-table dealings to secure funding for the JSA, part of which goes to repaying the elders who bought their shares before the reforms, as well as political jockeying.READ STUPID FUCK
>>246125Now using what you posted tell me how Takarafuji is now Kiriyama.
>>246125Why can't you just be a human being and reiterate? >secure funding for the JSAThey pay the JSA for it?
>>246127Because the JSA is officially supposed to control all the shares, in practice it acts as an intermediary to ensure the grandfathered elders are repaid for having to buy stock before the reforms, plus ensuring they have a retirement fund set up. This also obfuscates the exact goings on since it's no longer a case of a rikishi directly buying stock from an existing elder. So the JSA basically has to say "we like this guy and his supporters club will take care of the existing elder financially, so he's approved."
>>246129... but essentially they buy it from the JSA and the JSA gives them the kabu name on the banzuke. To put it simply?

Yoshinofuji is an awful name, solely because Kusano was a sweet shikona and I'm pissed that he changed it. Shan't be supporting Yoshinofuji
>>246148The only real name that is valid is Shodai. All others must get a shikona.
>>246148He already had the "no" in his shikona. He should've been Kusanofuji, meaning the grass fields of mount Fuji. His new shikona is so gay. Was fucking Teru behind this? Fuck Teru for this.
>>246151It's one thing if he's using his own birth name, but a shikona should in some way project an image of strength. "Grass fields" don't really do it, even when paired with Mt. Fuji. In fact it can have the opposite effect, because it would project an image of constantly being at the foot of Mt. Fuji, unable to ascend.
>>246152>it would project an image of constantly being at the foot of Mt. Fuji, unable to ascend.I was about to disagree with the first parts of your post, but that's an EXCELLENT point well made, sir! Please enjoy this rikishi on a bike.
>>246151According to Nikkansports, Teru wanted him to take a -nofuji shikona for the stable, but the righteousness character 義 was particularly chosen by Yoshinofuji.
>>246155feels weird he's done it now and not the makuuchi promotion or the future sanyaku one
>>246154>it would project an image of constantly being at the foot of Mt. Fuji, unable to ascend.that could just as easily be construed as being able to bear the load and strong enough support an entire mountain, similar to the atlas supporting the earth meme, but more inherently japanese
>>246160*shrug*He didn't want it
Enho 7-0 incoming.
>>246162LOL
>>246162enHOPLESS is never going to make it back to juryo, he should think about opening a chanko restaurant that caters to midgets or something
>>246164Imagine how smol he'll be when he borrows Takakeisho's weight loss secrets?
Dan broke the record for the fastest promotion to sekiwake for a non-tsukedashi sumo entrant. Probably beat nearly all of the tsukedashi starters too, except Onosato of course.
>>246168>Probably beat nearly all of the tsukedashi starters tooNot even close.
>>246169J3w always makes me lol
I updated the "Your favorite manga, anime, or movie?" chart that some anon made from 2022 with the most recent banzuke (Nov 2025). Lot of new wrestlers since then.
For reference, here is anon's original chart from Sep 2022. Some of the rikishi's favorite anime changed over these past 3 years.
Thank god chris has a video for the november banzke outi had to go to work before he uploaded it so i had no idea how to feel about the banzukegonna watch it now so i can be properly informed and participate in the thread
>>246186Buy an ad, Mr. Gould.
>>246186I'm going to forget when the basho starts, show up here on day 4, then ask for you guys to tell me what's been going on.
>>246175>>246176bunch os casuals but some nice picks tooUra couldn't be more based, incredibleShishi "marvel movies" is so on brand too
>>246149>Takayasu erasure
>>246197If only I could.
Chris says onosato is out of shapebrb gonna bet the house on onosato
>>246200>Endo intaiDon't bury the fucking lead like that, Anon!
Good night, shitty prince.
Endo is a fucking retard, should've gotten the knee operation 10 years ago, what a waste.
>>246200Chris doesn't seem to understand that outside of Japan/Mongolia sumo wrestlers are laughing stocks. If a schoolkid said he wanted to become a sumo wrestler he'd be bullied.
>>246208Not if he was big and strong enough to actually do it.
>>246203At least he took Kakuryu's scalp by beating him in his final match, even if iirc that fight was Kakuryu missing a trip and falling on his ass.
>>246211Haha look at fatso tumble.
>>246211>OH N-
>>246213>AAAAIIIIIIEEEE DON'T HURT ME ENDO-SAMA!!!
Inside /sumo/ there are two lions
>>246216>hey. check this cool lion I got from my free 3 daily prompts. put it on my kimono.
>>246216Some of their gowns really do look terrible.
>>246176>moviesIt cracks me up every time.
I am a bit surprised by this banzuke. Never would have imagined Takanosho getting komusubi, or Atami only getting demoted to maegashira 6 after that 5-10. Takayasu holding onto that sanyaku rank is some funny shit, I am happy I got a picture with him in London
>>246221>gownsIt's a robe.
>>246224
>>246226What emotion is this supposed to represent?
>>246219you know what? fuck it add a lighting bolt
This banzuke is now the 4th time out of 5 that Roga has gone 7-8 and not been demoted.
>>246213>whiffs the sotogake>dies
How much of a presence do Onosato and Hoshoryu have in their stables? It feels like the 2 yokozunas have such busy schedules they just aren't there most of the time.
>>246233If Nabatame had his own place for a bit, then those two sure as fuck don't live at their stables anymore.
>>246216Big "black button up collar shirt with flames at the bottom" energy
>>246233Depends on how you define "presence." The oldest toriteki will have the most influence on the routine day-to-day operations of the other toriteki, but when the sekitori and especially upper sanyaku show up everyone takes notice and caters to them.
>>246237I mean like training. Wouldn't it be such an advantage for the younger and lower ranked wrestlers to train with a yokozuna? Like in boxing if you joined the Robert Garcia Boxing gym there was a good chance you would be sparring against other world class champions year round.
>>246238At a certain skill gap you're not actually learning anything from just getting dummied around because there's too much for you to process at your skill level. That's why you need to be properly coached first, which is the responsibility of the oyakata and senior toriteki in the stable. Some makushita do get to train with the sekitori, but it's for the benefit of the sekitori first and foremost, like how Hakuho would get his stable's makushita to emulate the fighting style of his upcoming opponents. You need to prove you're good enough to get to juryo first before you start getting personal training time with the sanyaku.
>>246238It would also be a waste of time for the yokozuna.
>>246234If Onosato doesn't live at Nishonoseki how come Shirokuma looks so starved of chanko all the time???
>>246239Did Meisei ever give Yarden a pity fight? I feel like he has but I couldn't tell you when.
>>246244Dunno but it was probably just a chest lending exercise that they do for foreign visitors frequently. Let them push you to the edge if they can, then gently roll them onto the clay.
>>246223you look like a slob walking around without having shaved in past 6 days, you probably smell like shit too, look how enthusiastic he is to be standing next to you, even a polite public figure like him and thats the best he can manage, you're repulsive
>>246229demoting a mong on 7-8 is racist
>>246235azns are fairly crass, subtlety escapes their mentality, shishi's style of gown is reserved for only the highest ranking wrestlers, even juryo isn't allowed to sport that look. the bushido code or whatever requires him to dress like that as a means of publicly displaying his rank
>>246246Nice projection Rajesh
>>246246It takes you six days to grow that much?
>>246246>you're repulsiveyes but thats because he is british, everything else is superfluous
>>246252Is Shishi on a beya slop?
do most of these torrents not work or am I stoopid?
>>endoanother old men gone, see ya in NSK uniform soon
>>246247Can't be true because otherwise Chris would've made multiple videos about it.
>>246256god save natto cause yeah downloading torrents is hell just a few week after the basho they seem to be depopulated
>>246257Kabu have been slobbing on his knob for years so don't expect him to stay in a blue jacket for long. For me? I can't wait to see Takakeisho plopping onto a cushion as a shinpan.
>>246259previous bashos are available in the Large Sushi site? I can only find Aki
>>246257Still remember when the crowd started chanting his name after defeating Hakuho in 2020
>>246261They don't go back far because the site is just fucking bad to be desu with you.
>>246263The site works well for it's use case, being a place to watch the current basho on a self hosted platform. This is the closest thing I know of since the youtube purge https://siznax.github.io/honbasho/Otherwise you gotta start scrounging, manually download whatever you can find on youtube with yt-dlp. Rutracker has some old gems as well. Basically, you will not find a comprehensive collection of previous bashos except on individuals hard drives.
>>246264It's more that obvious improvements to the site are right there, they just aren't being implemented.>Watch a single rikishi's entire basho by jumping from vod to vod>Being able to watch shit older than a single basho>A chatroom to spew shit about kiriSHITma's latest lossHe's doing a great service but dude.
>>246264oh well, I started downloading the grand sumo highlights and NHK sumo episodes during the last basho but I guess what's gone is gone. Sadly couldn't download anything from Grand Sumo Archives before the channel was deleted
>>246208That's like trying to say that football players in the US are laughing stocks because they are "big and fat". Protip they aren't, they are generally the most popular kids in school.
>>246256They probably don't work, if my own experiences torrenting combat sports are anything to go by.
>>246260he won't pull that duty, a little sissy like him would end up getting crushed to death, shrimp pan is for big guys only
shishinofuji would've been a better shikona
>>246275But as Yoshinofuji now M*dnight gets to play that stupid Yoshi voice clip every time he goes to fight Xddd
>>246277No one is making you watch midnight, shut the fuck up.
>>246278That won't stop me complaining about him, faggot.
>>246262I remember that fight. Endo has always been among the agents of chaos capable of pulling a win completely out of his ass.
>>246280And you will continue to be pathetic.
>>246282Anything else you wanna flap your gums about? Gonna tell me the weather next?
>>246243Sir, you're watching National Geographic.
>>246256
>>246280It should. You shouldn't let your enemies run your thoughts.
>>246288Enemy? Haha no, I just laugh at how shit and stupid he is.
>>246289Rent free.
>>246290Seethe. Cope. Dilate.
Yeah, that makes sense in this context.
hinkaku galore
Next basho is probably the most "well duh" feeling basho in a long time. The Zuna are the clear favourites, Dan will get double digits, and everyone else's results will be more or less completely random. Juryo might actually be more interesting than Makuuchi this time round since we have not only Mita and the return of the Pussy Slayer, but my boy Goshima is finally sekitori. He's fucking humongous.
>>246330>Dan will get double digitsHe wont.
>>246331He has gotten his strength sapped by the kids with cancer
>>246332But the kids with cancer will die and pass on their strength to him
>>246333>I said add 大蒜 to the chanko, not 人肉!
any new chris videos today?
Someone explain the recent chris controversy
>>246343chris is controversial because he makes good videos so some people see criticizing him as a means of selfishly focusing attention upon themselves
>>246345Dumb and overly general and obviously not what I was talking about.Something triggered the comments being turned off and the sort of lukewarm boycott of his videos (look at the view counts)
>>246345>chris is controversial because he makes good videosbait?>people see criticizing him as a means of selfishly focusing attention upon themselvesoh wait nvm you are just retarded >>246347He made a video criticizing certain aspects of the London tour, like the high ticket prices (which sold out every day), the reliance on sponsorships to make the tour happen (you can't expect to make a bank when you have to feed 180kg men and pay for their hotel stay) and the lack of effort in promoting the sport within London besides the event itself, he was mad the rikishi didn't got KNIFED on the street and didn't engage in local paki culture. He's just butthurt because the event was a success despite not being a "real" tournament as he was expecting.
>>246343Chris has a hate boner for the JSA and a love boner for Hakuho
>>246304Dr Shishi, I'm 11-4
>>246347god forbid he turns off youtube comments for once, wouldn't want to miss on those gems, eh?>>246349>things that didn't happen
>>246354Well from what I saw on previous videos people were generally quite polite
Takerufuji when he comes back
>>246343He made a complete faggot out of himself in a video and turned the comments off so he didn't have to face criticism.
yoshinopassport is not claiming that he didn't skip London due to lack of passport but because he had a foot injury that prevented him from going but got better as soon as the London tour was over
>>246362A Yokozuna tier excuse
>>246356People were polite in Chris's comment sections because his reporting was fine. But his post-London video was a schizophrenic rant about the JSA not doing enough to promote sumo when the rikishi were all over social media. Not only that but he assumed that every big name in London would've been at the Royal Albert Hall if only the JSA had contacted them, when it's far more likely that no one worth knowing has any interest in showing up to a sumo event in the first place.
>>246364what about paul macfartny, he likes sumo.
>>246361how far down did that sissy fall into juryo?remember when ppl thought he was the next big thing? then onosato blew right past him, taker never won another 'sho or even competed and onosato has won 5 since taker took home his fluke trophy
>>2463757e
>>246375>taker never won another 'shoHe did in Juryo though. Why would you just lie like that?
Reminder that Takerufuji has never actually failed to win the Juryo yusho. Juryo is genuinely going to be more interesting than Makuuchi this time around if he competes.>MakuuchiOh boy it's the two big dogs running away with it :/>JuryoNigga we got Asanoyama, Mita, Takerufuji, and my boy fucking GOSHIMA on this shit
AND HOW DID THAT WORK OUT FOR YOU, FAT FUCK
would you drinkkiriSHITma flavored sake
>>246389Yes. I would not drink from the Onosato can, because I don't know where it's been.
<New Sekiwake #Yaseinishiki>Yaseinishiki, who was recently promoted to sekiwake, held a press conference with his master, stablemaster Ajigawa (formerly Amikishiki). He expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "I'm not satisfied with my current ranking.I want to aim for an even higher ranking.I want to fight my own style of sumo at the Kyushu tournament and do my best to win at least 11 matches."
>>246391Single digits incoming.
When I asked his master, stablemaster Ajigawa (formerly Aminishiki), he said,He's doing what he needs to do, so it's fine.I want him to fight in his own style and achieve good results on the final day of the tournament.
>>246389I'll have half a dozen Atamins and another half dozen Hirados.
>>246393Me on the right>Who the fuck is this>Where am I
>>246391I love his 11-4 style of sumo. Hope he does his best, listens to his shisshos advice and takes it one day at a time while not thinking about the yusho
>>246343He insists upon himself, Lois.
>>246362Faggot he said he said he just got back to foot sliding and he might not even be tournament ready in November. This was in the first 30 seconds of the video, why do you lie?
Onosato is probably dreaming about chanko right now...
>>246423
>>246427I feel like if you were to hand draw this image and post it on social media you'd be banned for racist depictions.

They can't even make the "we need to give him more time" argument since Onosato debuted at Ozeki in his 6th Makuuchi basho, which is when Dan would do the same if promoted. And that's before even considering that having a 2nd Ozeki on the banzuke would balance it out.
>>24643413-2J and 12-3Y are better results than 11-4.
>>2464284chan is social media
>>246440>Teru's JY is better than Dan's JY!Lmao okay. Now tell me about why Teru's 8-7 is better than Dan's 11-4.
>>246434i one hundred percent believe that if he goes 11-4 he isn't getting ozeki this bashoif he goes 12-3 he will get promoted but on 11-4 i dont think he will no matter if he 2v1s the yokozunas
>>2464412 is more than 1, anon.
>>246442if he 11-4's but proves he isn't just a free win for Onosato I'd give it to him desu

>>246503https://www.stablemasters.ca/It's not about picking your favourite rikishi, it's about picking guys you think will get good scores at their current rank. But this time around you can scoop up a Yokozuna and four (quatro) Sekiwake level rikishi. And Gonoyama should in theory be hugely underranked right now. He wasn't even injured last basho, he just didn't win.
