Been thinking about this question all day. For me it's:
>Luffy: Saying "I'm the man who'll surpass you to be pirate king" to Big Mom and Kaido.
>Zoro: "Nothing.. at all"
>Nami: Tagging in for Sanji against Kalifa.
>Sanji: Either Mr. Prince or "Thanks, I needed a light" to Enel.
>Usopp: Sniping Sugar. Only just barely inches out the duel with Luffy/the apology after though.
>Chopper: The third rumble ball. Fighting Queen is a close second, would've been first if he got to do just a little bit more there.
>Robin: "I want to live!"
>Franky: The fight against senior pink.
>Brook: "Young lady, what kind of idiot plans for his own death?"
>Jinbe: "A crewmate of the future pirate king can't afford to tremble in the presence of a mere yonko."
>>
>>265825861
Thank you for posting.
>>
>>265827121
For me Queen is Chopper's shining moment. After handling the plague mist from Jack and the mummy virus, the ice oni virus was him taking his medicine to the ultimate level, turning viruses into his own weapon to combat bio viruses and he got to interrupt more "honorable samurai death" bullshit that Usopp rejects later. He took on the consequences of extending his Monster Point as well and while he may not have made a huge dent in Queen, in my opinion the Chopperphage WAS his biggest hit.
>>
>>265825230
shadow-victims receive part of their zombie's memories? The poor plate-woman...
>>
>>265828285
Yeah that's why I do rate it highly and dislike when people say Chopper hasn't gotten to shine since the TS, I just think it lacks a moment of catharsis to follow up on the hype of Chopper hitting Queen. Queen just kinda tanks while Chopper is slowly worn down, there's no climax to their physical confrontation to follow up the mental one which I think is a real shame.
>>
>>265825815

>>265793777
Ya know, might as well put my hat in the ring as well.
Luffy: his stand against the admirals. His fight with Kuma at sabaody comes as a close second though.
Zoro: "Nothing happened" is an obvious one here.
Nami: her fight against Miss Doublefinger.
Ussop: either Sogeking shooting down the world government flag or his second time scaring sugar.
Sanji: his wedding with Pudding where he calls her third eye beautiful.
Chopper: I still think his backstory where he tries to save Hiriluk still hasn't been topped.
Robin: "I want to live!!!" Is iconic.
Franky: yeah it's the seƱor pink fight.
Brook: him getting all the ponegliph scratchings out from big mom was his MVP moment
Jinbe: his blood transfusion with Luffy.
Merry: saving the strawhats one last time at Enies Lobby.
Sunny: the first coup de burst.
>>
>>265828756
I disagree slightly, Chopper tanked as well during that period. He stood toe to toe with Queen for thirty minutes, even if he didn't damage him he survived and put himself on the line for it. I count that for a lot.
>>
>>265825767
I know Brook is not a character a lot of people get attached to but I cannot imagine the sheer anguish that he felt while being all alone for so long and same goes for the amount of relief he feels right now, Oda is a sick bastard for making a single man go through all of this
>>
>>265825230
It would be funnier if real Lola thought that Nami was a man and proposed to her.
>>265828638
Margarita left her old job and is now working with a crazy scientist that lives in a castle.

Why did Lola's zombie have her name anyway? All the other zombies got called by the names (real or made up like Kumashi) of the body.

If we assume that lola had a strong shadow with a strong will (stronger than sanji and zoro lmao) the zombie probably woke up and said that it's name was lola and everyone around it just said "ok sure" and stuck with it
This is backed up with the fact that the zombie kept on with her thing of wanting to be married

>>265825371
fuck, I missed sanji last thread in my peak list. I might have said 'mr prince' or him soloing the WG train was his peak, but this is a FANTASTIC fucking moment.

He legitimately respects Zoro.
>>
>>265825767
pacing wise it feels a little weird pivoting immediately from Zoro's sacrifice to finishing up Brook's arc. I don't know why Oda thought Zoro should get so much focus in Thriller Bark when he already got a lot of attention throughout Water Seven.
>>
>>265829203
didn't he hold off both queen AND perospero?

The problem with modern chopper is he had basically three moments to be a doctor in the entire timeskip:
1: with the 'sanji has a nosebleed just seeing women' gag that got old fucking IMMEDIATELY
2: when he was helping treat the kids in punk hazard - and even that was cheapened by law just ope opeing the drugs out of them
3: the moment at Wano.

He also doesn't really get to fight at all anymore. He was never one of the main bruisers, but compare alabasta and skypiea, where he still got into dustups, to "I USE KUNG FU POINT AND ONLY KUNG FU POINT, AND ONLY STAY IN BRAIN POINT OTHERWISE"

reposting in this thread:
Zoro's peak was in the last thread, with "NOTHING HAPPENED."

What are your peak moments for each strawhat?
For me:
Luffy: either standing solo in front of all the admirals at marineford, or finally mastering imbued conquerer's haki
Zoro: NOTHING HAPPENED
Nami: Standing up to Ulti, or tagging in against Miss Doublefinger
Usopp: His friend Sogeking igniting the flag at Enies Lobby
Sanji: Either him keeping what Zoro did secret, or 'Mr. Prince'
Chopper: Standing up to Hogback
Franky: His fight with Senor Pink
Robin: I WANT TO LIVE or her taking Sanji's place against Black Maria
Brook: breaking Big Mom's photo of Mother Caramel, and telling her flat out she isn't going to kill him
Jimbe: Donating his blood to Luffy after his Hody fight

Yea for a world that seemingly is going to dwarf our planet (given some island nations take a couple days to traverse) everyone on the sea is somehow using speedboats masquerading as sailing boats. I think the whole pre-TS is barely 6 months, there's a few 'a few days later/week later' moments during travel that gives some leeway. And the whole post-TS has been like 4~ months tops so far. They've been apart longer than together and that's a damn mistake.

Yeah it's always been one of my pet peeves with the series too. In my mind East Blue took months and the Grand Line at least a year. Makes much more sense both logistically and character development wise. Zoro going from not knowing who Luffy is to willing to die for him in a few months doesn't match his character very well for me.

Pretty much, when I was watching for the first time, it was Alabasta. The fansub took a hiatus to finish the Baroque Works fight in one go. Then I started watching Water 7 ate the same time. When Luffy vs. Usopp was happening, the first thing that I remember thinking about was the time frame. I was guessing at least one year of sailing, but then after the time skip when they confirmed that it was less than a year, it was just a huge disappointment.

I understand what Oda was trying to do. I met someone for three months, and then we broke up. It's been almost 10 years, and those three months together were enough to remember for the rest of my life.

But still kinda a lazy way to write it

Just think: Brook has been sailing utterly alone for 45 years, as a skeleton, trapped in the florian triangle, without a log pose, and with the corpses of all his best friends. Then, after 45 years, he finally sees someone...and he gets punked by Gecko Moria, his shadow stolen, and he gets utterly humiliated by zombie Ryuma.

It's no fucking wonder he was so goddamn moved by Luffy showing up, feeding him, and immediately asking him to join his crew - let alone everyone risking their lives to help him.

doubtful. She got five-day illness from a mosquito on little garden. Dr. Kureha said it was a pre-historic disease, not just 'the plague'.
>>
>>265890788
Mentioning they got it from the jungle which is exactly what Kureha immediately jumped to as well as a cause for infection sounds like a common factor though
>>
>>265890160
Deeply unlikely. With Oda needing at least 1 break a month in order to not die, coupled with the regular holidays, we get less than 40 chapters a year. I'm gonna be generous and ballpark it wrapping within 150 chapters, but thats nearly 5 years when you think about it. But thats me being generous, I dont think it'll end withing 150,not by a longshot. Fucking Wano alone was 149 chapters good lord. I hope someone can reign him in a bit because that was fucking ridiculous

It is a pretty good pirate song to go out on, at least. Not enough repeating sections to be a proper shanty, but I can believe it being at celebrations and such.
>>
>>265904946
Brook would honestly be a great candidate for his own series. Him exploring the world, hitchhiking with different pirates to try to circle around back to Laboon, getting into shenanigans and moving on when the time's right. It's just that, something about them knowing Brook was going to come back is extra heartbreaking and would add even more survivor's guilt than usual, and I would love to see a character with that much baggage going out through the world.

>>
>>265930888
>All pirates searching for the treasure One Piece must brave the second half of the Grand Line. These wild and dangerous seas are know as the New World. Gold Roger and his crew were the only men to chart these waters and learn all the secrets they held. For the rest of the pirates in the world this has proven to be the end of the road. A graveyard of dreams. Now Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose body became rubber after eating the Gum Gum Fruit, set sail into the New World with his faithful crew.

Reviving something late, missed most of the last thread, sorry.

>>265719996
We don't yet know how Sengoku worked, we've seen gold mode once, no idea if he's awakened, or if his gold mode is that awakening.

As for the general issue of being carried by a 'stronger' fruit I don't know yet. Within the story the elders explicitly go on about how nika-nika IS rubber, as a base property. The 'toonforce' (applying it to OTHERS) does seem to be a G5 bonus only. This just feeds into why they're only worried when it awakens. So the gears ARE toonforce logic applied to a rubber body. Just being a stretchy boy shouldn't let him shove air in and move it between bones for one.

As for the 'I feel cheated' problem, for some people yea, that's going to happen. You don't jive with the twist even though post-TS had a number of mentions of 'this isn't how it should work' and because for over a decade people had let the whole G3/4 logic just werk. I feel the twist is okay but delivered so fucking clunky (this goes back to a few threads ago where people were arguing that talking about nika at FI would be too on the nose given we get luffy = joyboy already), fruits do not offer up their name magically, categorization systems are made up by people of the world, and we've seen a number of 'exceptions' before Luffy's own reveal.
>>
>>265849564
>Yea for a world that seemingly is going to dwarf our planet
Yeah, there seems to be something seriously wrong with the size of the planet in OP. During the canon cover story arc with Ace, he somehow gets to [Lulusia] near the Red Line and then makes it to Banero (near Water 7) 3 days BEFORE Luffy leaves. This is roughly 2.5 weeks after his introduction, and Arabasta seems to be halfway through Paradise, so it takes less than 10 days to travel 1/4th of the planet's circumference.
>>
>>265958243
>Just being a stretchy boy shouldn't let him shove air in and move it between bones for one.
I've seen the theory that Luffy's using Life Return to accomplish parts of G2 and 3, given the way he revives after gorging like Kumadori did and can do what you said. Given the placement of Life Return with the Gears intro I find it completely reasonable.

Feels like a scrapped idea, given how bad the relationship ended up I can't reconcile how at this point, this was a gesture of good faith, yet Lola is running away from her abusive tyrant mother and is basically throwing the SHs into a beating/death by association.

Son of a bitch sat on the song for years? It really will play a role in the story. I'd rather more songs have been dropped into the story over time to obfuscate which ones (and how much) would be directly lore related. Kinda like in ASOFAI

I've thought of the evolving thing a few times. But I saw it as more 'arrivals' who mutate (or do it via science) to fit the planets current configuration (in my idea they're fleeing some other planet and in waves land on OPs planetoid, some wage war, some just settle), it's why they can all interbreed, they are originally from the same place. Lunarians might be OGs, their wings 'work', skypieans descend from them, or are the next arrivals but their wings are purely cosmetic etc.

As for the 'flood' I think it's probably the reverse. The centre of the planet is pushing the water up by making a void/hollow (or force field? Given what we saw, there's also the endless question of where all that water is going, same for EL), damaging the structure with mother flame level weapons are probably triggering something.

I choose to believe Lola was super naive and straight up didn't how much her mom hated her

They would get stomped at the very first island, unironically.

It's very cute that in the direct translation Oda thought Binks' Sake couldn't catch on because of the word "sake," only to find a near perfect, alliterative translation for the word later which turned it into an international banger. Especially if the live action, by some miracle, manages to make it this far they really hit it out of the park. It could very well be in music books someday now. Especially if the song does actually has plot relevance.

How many people did Luffy say he wanted on his crew at the beginning of the manga again? Was it 12?
