In 1996, Kazushi Hagiwara had wrapped up work on the 18th volume of Bastard!! When time came to continue the story, disaster struck.Mismanagement due to the Seasonal Specials going under, fires, floods, tsunamis, pages getting lost in the train, editors not picking up the work, divine punishment for the obvious deal with the Devil Hagi did for his art skills.Whichever the case, the rest of Crime & Punishment was scrapped and the series moved on to the next arc. It was years before Hagiwara would let the fans know what was planned for the rest of C&P, and this would happen through a self-published doujin that gathered some of the work made in advance for what should've been vol. 19 of Bastard!!.That doujin has never been translated to English.Until now.
Praying the netflix anime will get Hagi to continue drawing again
