Its simplicity highlights the differences, ie Big Bang Impact next to Ripper Cyclotrone as immediate versus delayed reward, or Kastro's Tiger Bite being a specific striking technique. Then there's nicher uses: Komugi's gungi, Palm's crystal ball, Binolt's taste, Gon-san and Bill's aging factor, Gido's rotational force, etc. Even general Enhancement does fun stuff like the Uvo shouts or hardened paper.Manipulation - Standard coercive manipulation is probably the most boring thing in the series, but the subtler uses are cool. Carried by animal and object controlSpecialization - Open-ended powers with lots of room for surprise, but I think it's also hurt by a lack of standard structure and I wouldn't say the Specialist powers shown are my favorite on average.Transmutation - Ironically the personality result I get, but the vast majority of properties shown are bland. The process can feel like a lot of steps to produce something normal, like if conjurers couldn't give their objects special properties. Also an underrepresented typing. It's important to remember that almost every manipulation ability we have seen is exclusively about "controlling the movement and actions of someone or something" not "changing their properties". Manipulation is akin to a pupeeter strings, meaning you can control how your target moves but you can't change the color of their hair since that's something that can't be done with just strings. The only examples we have of manipulators "changing the properties of something or someone" are morel(who is said to use transmutation) and illumi (whose abilities we don't fully know and could easily use other categories beyond manipulation). Every other case of someone "changing the properties of someone/something" falls under the category of either transmutation (bisky, youpi, hisoka) or conjuration (hinrigh, tsubone, kurton)

When I talked about shape I was thinking solid things, specificaly the human body since we've seen it modified mostly by transmutors or conjurators. The only manipulator we have sen who can change the "shape" of a human body is Illumi (who probably uses other non manipulation nen categories for that ability).
