I remember I had a band teacher that insisted they were more accurate than digital tuners back in like 2010 and we then pointed out their old tuning fork was beat up and scratched to shit, almost certainly impacting the tuning. Sure enough the digital tuners all showed it was at like 432hz or something super flat at that point. Fucking boomer
