Are you a lover of spaghetti western stories, have you read Blood Meridian before cuz this is closest vision of the work of Cormac McCarthy in an action manga with certain touches of Berserk>Set in nineteenth-century America, Red is the last living survivor of a Native American tribe that was slaughtered by white men. On a long journey in search of revenge, he travels with Iero Ito, a samurai who ran away to America after being defeated in the Seinan civil war, and Ann, a mysterious prostitute. The bonds of friendship between the three are touching. Although it is all fiction, the story seems very real as it is based on actual battles between US troops, Apaches and other tribes.

Thanks OP, this is cool as fuck. Been reading a lot of dailies, and I've read some really good stuff, but I don't think fallen in love with anything this quickly in a long time. >>268175907It's pretty good. McCarthy has a very broad lexicon, and sometimes people can feel like his stuff is heavy reading because he'll use a lot of big and obscure words. The plot and dialogue is very easy to follow though. As long as you are willing to bust out the dictionary now and then, you'll get to enjoy a bloody story about a bunch of truly vile men doing some truly evil things in a godless land.

>>268164573the art is great and the fights are fantastic, but damn i hate this "le white man bad" period of japanese media
>>268182815shut up whitey>nooooooo you can't show us genociding the nativesyou already won get over it
>>268182815>mutt offended
>>268182931I'm not even white, it's just if you follow nip media on the late 90s it's painfully obvious that they were seething at whites (particularly US) for some reasonalso the word "genocide" has lost all meaning these days. it's just war, and unfortunately civilians die in war. there's plenty of truly genocidal conflicts before and during this period with correspondingly larger civilian deaths, this is just not it
>>268182815it's just the pendulum swinging back from his earlier series where white man comes to town and fixes everyone's problems
Bmp

How the fuck did he insert a goddamn samurai into this?
>>268194903Japs find a way
>>268194903Back then in the 1800s japan exported cheap labor to americas, not unlike every other developing nations
>>268194903It might come as surprising but it's not unrealistic. Before WW2 there were around 40.000 first generation Japanese immigrants (issei) and 80.000 second and third generation Japanese (nissei) in America. You'll see why Iero specifically ended up in America if you keep reading. If that wasn't the case America wouldn't have needed to throw all of them in internment camps when they entered WW2.
