>>268191056It has a pretty slow start, a lot like Ohkubo's manga. IMO Soul Eater didn't hook me until Medusa appeared and with Fire Force it took Rekka going crazy. Similarly it took the last chapter of this volume to really reel me in, before I was skimming through each weeks chapter to see if something big had happened. They're all fun manga with interesting premises and good worldbuilding, but until they start digging into the mystery aspect of each series it lacks direction. That makes it hard to discuss beyond "that was cool" and "the art is good". Also, Kei feels more like a storyboarder than a manga artist. Reading these chapters in bulk made me appreciate the fluid action like in >>268172977 >>268172997 and >>268212608 >>268212622 >>268212642 . But Kei also draws characters standing around and talking with the same amount of detail. Waiting weekly to see these long ass, a(u)rtistic fights and then getting blue balled by Bro or Enjin talking casually for 5 pages is torture.

We're shown that the boss of the raiders have this big nefarious plan (taking down sphere) that none of their own members care about. And the cleaners have no reason to go against it either. In fact, there's no reason why for the raiders to be there beyond "me fight you".Even the fact that they're in a trash beast seems to only matter as a strenuous reasoning for why the cleaners have any stake in the conflict, which they still shouldn't because the beast isn't actually attacking any of their settlements.Honestly, kidnapping Rudo to sell his body parts would've a better plot thread than this artificial conflict that hinges on a specific set of super powers (manhole girl) and a deranged mastermind (the boss).
