>>268308080Not anime but the Hinamatsuri manga fucked me up. It wasn't even a sad ending or anything just a bit of melancholy when a story comes to a close. I took it pretty hard when I was at the final couple of chapters and bawled my eyes out after I finished. I remember stumbling across https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fdShuEkQvY on youtube trying to take my mind off the manga (finished Yakuza 0 and 6 around the same time) and started crying even more. It feels like I cry at more things these days, even a bad show can have a single scene that strikes a chord, e.g. Rent-a-Girlfriend season 2 during the flashback to Chizuru's grandfather.
>>268320136The stakes aren't low if you think about it very hard. Besides, they played their cards really well slowburning up to the fucking e-mails scene. It doesn't dawn upon you how bad it is until you see her breaking down. Then you realize it's that bad and properly start crying like a bitch.

>>268308080Majority of anime with sad/bittersweet scenes honestly. I'm a sensitive little bitch, and I'm abit too passionate with things I'm into,Fortunately I didn't sob uncontrollably, but I easily teared up on any emotional scenes.
I do not cry.
>>268328061Personally, I feel like I'm brokenI find it really hard to get emotional over real life stuff unless it's family or whatever. When I hear about some kind of suffering happening to someone else I'm like "lol sucks2suck" and just move on with my day. But the second something is fictional I become an empath. It takes the slightest things to get me to tear up and things that are heavy absolutely break my heart. One of my recent favorites ever was Liz and the Blue Bird. It fucking tore me apart man
>>268320574I legitimately despise spirit circle. It's the most exploitative crybait I have ever seen in a male demographic manga since Ai Ren. And it does the same one trick pony shit like five times. It actually just makes me angry, not sad.

>>268328524I did. I liked the show as a whole but never really got too emotional until this movie. The closest I got was all of the stuff with asuka and kumiko connecting. But when bluebird came out, I fell in love with the seriesI just really connected with the story and characters. I loved how simple it was and the thing that really got me was when they played the duet and Mizore le true power could he hearedYou could feel the emotion coming out of the instruments. Especially Nozomi's flute. There was one specifc moment where she stopped playing mid-note because she was crying, and then when she lifted it again her notes were faltering It wasn't just that it was sad, it was also very beautiful, and that's what got me the most. Their scene immediately after was also fantastic
>>268326270>tfw watched the ending of Anohana at 4 am, crying my eyes outThat fucking scene where she's under the tree obliterates me every time I watch it
There are a bunch of moments that made me emotional and my eyes swell up like washizu's thoughts near the ending of his game with akagi, that chapter in Black Jack where the doctor that saved him dies, Amuro saluting his mother and going back to the white base in gundam and others. But me being a shonenspic there are two moments that really made me cry, those being: Jiraya's death in Naruto and Kiyomaro's "death" in konjiki no gash.>>268320683Same, sometimes I even tear up while listening to a really emotional song. >>268329192Thanks for the input anon. Maybe it didn't strike deep with me because I didn't spend enough time with the characters beyond the movie, but I definitely remember being amazed by the final performance. It really felt as if they were talking to each other through the instruments, and the final scene wrapped it up nicely.
>>268330256The characters get a decent amount of screentime in the show, but they're still side characters and it's mostly a single arc they have. I think I would have felt the same even if I had not seen the show up honestlyI only grew to love mizore after the movie desu
>>268309786It really is, somehow. I think it just genuinely perfectly captured what it's like to think about a lost loved one for the first time in years, like the first time you REALLY thought about them in ages. All those memories you've been suppressing to protect yourself from the pain rush in all at once and you see their face and hear those voice clearly, and it's so damn sad but also beautiful. It's still the only time I actually cried watching anime.Stuff like pic related still gets me emotional, but I don't think there's any other scene in anime that could make you actually cry even if you relate to it, as far as I know.
Several days after watching EoE I suddenly and mysteriously broke down after thinking about One More Final and what it represented. It came in a flash and left me rather sad. I don't think I've ever felt something like that since then.

>over 200 posts>probably not one post about shigatsu/your liewhen it aired threads essentially died at like ep 4 not hitting above 150 and posts were filled with how it was forced shit and that they'd drop ityet when the last ep arrived all sorts of shitters from elsewhere appeared thinking people gave a shitover the years it was amusing to see faggots posting thinking people bothered with itthat said there's probably a generation of anons posting that haven't seen anything before 2015only reeks of isekai, mobile(posting) gacha, and other cancers
>>268359021She cute
>>268359130I did not care for it.
>>268326436i was just pissed because he could totally have written that and his name.
>>268359021meduka meduka meduka
>>268308080I haven't cried in like years
>>268309786For me personally it was the dad episode. It just hits so close to home I was bawling the entire time.
>>268358789I've only seen a few episodes of this, but one of them was Non-chan's.
>>268361623why the fuck would you watch that without having seen the entire show
>>268308080Am I jaded or autistic? I've never cried to any piece of fictional media. That's not saying that I never felt any emotion from them, but I'd never go as far as to say that they'd made me cry.
The first time was this scene
>>268308465That hit like a truck but I admit I got misty eyed just from the moments when it showed the people that used to live where the doors were. I think how hard Suzume hits really depends on how much emotional value you put in a home.
>>268313102>Sora no WotoRip grandma...
I loved these couple of episode in shinsekai yori. You could really feel Saki worry and desperation turn into despair and loneliness.
I cry all the time watching anime, might be due to being emotionally stunted or something, though anime has always been my go-to source of emotional stimulation even before that.
It's fine for a man to cry, but some of the weak melodrama garbage you fags bawl your eyes out to is embarrassing.Get some fucking standards.
If I cry I cry, I have no reason to try to stop myself from doing so
>>268362300This.
>>268361562Why was he such a dick?
>>268361789I think it just depends on how much you can connect with a series or a character. Maybe you just never delve into fiction as much as other people do none of it really hits because you know that at the end of the day, it's just a drawing. That's usually how it is for me but when I really like a series and get invested, I find that I get more emotional and the lines between fiction and reality start to blur.
>>268362002I cried when she died
>>268330478Which one in the middle?
>>268308080none but anohana was pretty close
>>268308869>>268309378imagine lacking soul
this shot from wolf children made my eyes get watery 20ish minutes in and I spent the rest of the movie in various states of crying until maybe half an hour after the credits had finished. I loved this movie to pieces but I genuinely don't think I could ever bear to watch it a second time.
>>268363193did you hug your mother after?
>>268362491Couldn’t cope with the loss of his wife alongside being a single father. After he hurt Tomoya he shrank away and completely isolated himself which is something I’ve seen first hand.
>>268363402I know but he was still a pain even after he supposedly regretted it.
>>268361387I was hoping someone was going to reply with this.
>>268342438It was pic related in particular for me
>>268326270>>268329226I cry at everything. But the anohana ending is one of the few times I've actually cried so hard I would consider it "blubbering"
>>268354278Personally I find it very overrated
Is it weird that I find crying anons extremely cute? I wish I could hug all of you.
>>268366477I will strike you.
>>268313102I cry every time
mainly Fruits Basket
>>268314369I stopped there. Never watched a single episode after.
I cried maybe 7 or 8 times intermittently the first time I watched CCA
while the episode about their dad dying just fucking destroys me, anything after that involving frogbro is my tear kryptonitethe bit where their mum calls them and asks if he's there and if he's doing okay just ruins mes3 when
>>268348178>>Mom, why... why are they burying daddy?I never got this. How come people don't know what is death, but have the ability to speak? I remember knowing about death since I know myself, even before i could speak in a more sophisticated way
>>268367385Most people also grow out of the egocentrism you still have, but that tends to go hand in hand with /a/utism.
>>268308465fuck me this was the absolute peak for the movie for me. The VA did an amazing job here.
>>268308080Alien 9 emotionally beat the shit out of me. Spent nearly that entire OVA choked up, but I genuinely had to take like a 3 day break after the end sequence of episode 2. First and last time anything has ever resonated with me that strongly across all media desu.
>>268367631> First and last time anything has ever resonated with me that stronglyWho was the Kumi in your teenage years?
>>268361078doesn't he vanish while he's writing it?
>>268367679Does a friend I was mutually codependent with for like a decade count? Probably that, kek.
>>268367631I don't think I cried but it was emotionally exhausting, maybe I related a bit too much as well. Reading the manga made it even worse.
>>268308080this scene
>>268366608>figure it'll get some short little bittersweet segment after at worst, followed by shindo taking himself seriously>instead it goes into this self-destructive failure spiral potential-dumpstering depression train, guest appearance of depressed failing isumiwhat the hell man, i should've stopped too, i feel like i got bait and switched
>>268361789Either you are fine or I am in the same boat.I feel emotions from shows and my favorite genre are those tearjerkers, but I don't cry.
>>268315655It's called a miracle precisely because it happens.I never watched the anime, but I did read the VN. While the h-scenes were utter shit, the story of each girl were good.
>>268363442Lost his wife, but decided to raise his child as best as he could.Failed at it.Destroyed his son's shoulder (he was admitted to that school because of his great basketball skills). After that point, he started to act like a stranger towards Tomoya, he probably thought that the best thing for Tomoya was to stay away from his son.Tomoya only understood his struggles after he reflected on his own actions towards Ushio.
>>268362524I also got sad when I realized the implication on how she was born.
>>268368101I just hated the NTR parts of the story. Those were unnecessary.

>>268362979>imagine lacking a penis
>>268309684>Chihaya KisaragiLol. Is a random car crash the only way Idomaster can set-up "tragedy"? Seems to be a recurring theme. I have no sympathy for such a low-effort-looking character. My parents are alive and together, and that's a bigger tragedy.
>>268309786Three different scenes made me cry like a bitch in Clannad.>The final scenes of the Kotomi route>Sunohara's advice in Kyou's route >Koumura remembering Fukos name
>>268308080GTO
>>268308080The penultimate episode of MahoromaticYou know, WHERE THEY SHOULD HAVE STOPPED!!!
>>268361855Its a movie that also depends somewhat on you being past a certain age. These emotional moments that bored me as a kid because I thought they didn't matter actually provoke a reaction in me as an adult because now because loss wasn't REAL to me as a child. So much about Suzume is about loss, lost people and lost places alike, that it just won't hit the same unless you have the context and nostalgia/wistfullness/regret that comes with those losses.
>>268370699I mean, that one's just cheating. Anyone who didn't at least tear up during that scene is some kind of psychopath.
