>>268373193It's honestly not too bad. It's only twelve episodes so it can never top the original out of sheer constraint but the premise is fine enough. The premise is that Hokkaido gets taken over by a tiny Nu-Brittania 7 years later and they turn on this EMP barrier that surrounds Hokkaido and keeps the UN/Black Knights from taking it back. The MC appears to be two Brittanian brothers but the twink is actually Sumeragi royalty and she wants to avenge her family, save her best friend/body double, and take back Hokkaido. It treads close to the original show but how things play out remains to be seen. The MC lacks Lelouch's charisma but so do 99% of MCs. What really stands out is the knightmare fights. The CG looks very clean and the choreography is good.

I truly despise that this series only takes place 5 years after the original. So in just 5 years Japan is already taken over again by the NUUU BRITTANIA and everyone is back to calling them Elevens and Neo-Brittania feels protected because some barrier is holding the Black Knights out. Even though Rakshata, Lloyd, Cecile, and Nina are all still alive and they're the ones responsible for most of the show's technology including Blaze Luminous, Fleija, flight packs, etc. It's actually so fucking stupid. I get that an intricate plot was never the selling point, but this is retarded even for CG standards.
