This anime series basically teaches us, that not even a Demonic God Cult can fight against a hyperorganized, unconditionally loyal, non-assimilating master merchants of trade with control of central banking.

>Monopoly on the Food industry
>Monopoly on the Clothing Industry
>Monopoly on the Construction industry
>Monopoly on the Banking Industry

To be fair, Cid can essentially nuke every living thing out of existence if he wants to. He's fired off the equivalent of 2 small nuclear bombs in cities so far, and it didn't take a damn thing out of him stamina wise.

Cid is essentially a walking, talking god. Or at least a demi-god. The reason the cult fails is he always shows up at the right time and place to stop whatever the girls cannot handle.

Artwork design on his nukes is rather unimpressive, it is more like a beam of light that doesn't carry the true essence of terror.
