We don't get to see Sara or Hazuki's thoughts after their fights end. After the tournament we immediately jump to dealing with the minor antagonist. Yet we saw Nezu's thoughts after he got one-shotted by Rei after his fight instead of starting the next round immediately.Gozo vs Waka was only slightly less of a stomp than Rei vs Nezu, but itdidn't cut to a flashback where we see Gozo running laps halfway through Waka creaming him. We were drip-fed info about Gozo instead of having it all dumped on us at once the moment his fight starts. Takayama vs Gunji was even shorter than Waka vs Gozo and it was just the two guys using brutal attacks on one another without stopping to breathe. We see Takayama actually losing his fingers and getting his mask knocked off halfway through his fight to see his scars (a character defining trait from his past fight with Agito), which wouldn't have had the same impact if half of it was the narrator explaining a younger Takayama going to the doctor to get his jaw fixed.

A frustrated or unhappy Hina seems irrelevant, since we've seen that nothing bad happens. We're asked, as the audience, to fear a potential future but we're not given any reasons, any parameters, any circumstances to trigger a negative action, the scale of that negative action, there just isn't any risk!All we have is "Hina is insane and wants to fight strong enemies... Given the implication her involvement would announce fame to this new business, we are NOT seeing any explosive excitement and ridiculous influx of powerful female fighters clamoring to join this terrific MMA organization and fight each other and Hina. Or, back to Nozomi, despite the original exposition to her character, she seems COMPLETELY lacking in any sort of fame or agency. Any sort of attraction from how "famously strong" she was occurred years ago which, apparently, is ANCIENT and just outright irrelevant, now. So what purpose does establishing her as "MAYBE STRONGER THAN HINA!!!!!!" even serve aside from "lol, Hina likes her, so she'll join?"These two protagonists just do not serve their purposes. But, well, that's common with many Sandrovich characters; established explicitly to take specific roles and then act completely without reason.
