In the anime they use many different cards together to achieve some effect while in the manga most effects are achieved by single cards alone, so the hand-resources are being depleted much less. Which I guess makes sense, if you're drawing a manga and you only have a limited number of pages and panels to work with you're not gonna be able to visualize some insane solitaire-combo-play.

SituationalTheCard would then just be called "good structure", even though it usually useless or too situational in reality. Thematically, I think Yugi's deck is cool, but his cards didn't have a ton of synergy. You might say that was intentional, as all of Yugi's duels are supposed to be unique and having the same wincon every game would be boring and not aligned with Atem (King of Games) and Yugi (The King of Games). Yugi's duels often reflect his opponent more, which I thought was always cool.

I played it around the time of XYZ's and it was quite an effective pet deck. You could maybe take it to locals and win a small tourney or two.
