I stopped watching anime for 4 years, when I was 21. Now I'm 25 and kinda getting back into it, so I'm not sure I outgrew it, probably just needed a long long break.

i outgrew video games around the time i really fell into anime. i realized i could get the same over the top stories and cool world building without having to press buttons. college limited my free time and budget as well, which probably helped nudge me in that direction
