Anime adaptations are an all or nothing type deal nowadays. If it's not Frieren/KNY tier, it gets completely ignored by the seasonal watchers and fails to reel in potential new manga readers or fan-content creators. Ragna Crimson still has a better adaptation than absolute worst case scenario trash like the Lucifer Biscuit Hammer anime, but at the end of the day both met the same end of being completely forgotten. Considering this anything less than a perfect adaptation can't be considered a "Success", which RC unfortunately falls into even if the anime had some good points like the VA's.

So 500 years ago Crimson killed Rex which drives the King of Bones mad with grief. In his rage he tries to yunleash his zombie domain over the entire planet because at least that will save Rex from death so he won't lose her. This act kills his family of dragons except Glestonowak. The bloodlines team up and seal him to prevent themselves getting caught in it. Around this time or a little later the Sun cult is deciding to abolish families and has a deep schism. I'm guessing around half of the dragon slayers and a third of the human population for the time are in the pro family faction. At they are on the verge of extermination thier top general gets a call from the dragon god that becoming the new king of Roars can save them. He does and his fellows monks become his bloodline family. During peace times the new gen Roars become aquainted with Aria of multiple generations because of Sigmalio's twisted obsession.

In the grand scheme, yes, but I still feel you cant disregard a good army, the silver corps are a good example, ultimately they surely cant deal with the heavy hitters like Kamui or Taratectora, but they can totally have their moment to shine and is something I have been liking from this serie, how it manage the red shirts and mooks, because both the dragon hunters that helped ragna against the wind dragon, the silver corps against poison dragon armies and then himself, were all good additions and had their own good action, while Ragna gets his more traditional 1vs1 fights with the biggest threat of the moment.

I kinda fear the cult will fail on this regard, while Ragna and Crimson are training this silver aura boosted team, I feel it will lack the charm of the silver corps because the cult seems to only care about the saints with its rank and fill no having real personalities or bonds with their superiors
