What is /a/ opinion about fanservice? Based or cringe? I personally don't mind it, and I treat it as a type of humor. But if I have to make manga/anime, it would be completely without fanservice. It would be almost asexual. Although I don't mind fanservice, I think too much nudity can make me treat certain characters and/or series less seriously.
Fanservice is based. Big titties, fat asses, and thin waists for all women, fictional or otherwise. All women should have that body type.
My opinion is that Chifusa is queen.

My stance on fanservice is "There are some anime I would like to enjoy with my whole family and that can mess it up" but it doesn't matter as much if it a show I didn't care about in the first place. Same goes for extreme violence, excess swearing, and so on. Basically, I'd rather stuff be family friendly because then it can be enjoyed with the family.

Anyone against what others enjoy legally is just a cultural Karen who will suffer greatly in this life and the next. In comedies, fanservice greatly helps with the funny, in non comedies, it can look out of place so it is more difficult to do properly. The best thing about nudity is that it immediately signals that the artists are in charge and not the nannies and defies the communists looking to complain into power.
