>>269233477Koushou is the type of fighter that either wins easily or gets completely demolished. In a battle manga he wouldn't fit well in a long running cast of characters. You would want to keep fatal or permanent injuries to a minimum but with koshous style it's all or nothing. You don't want every skirmish with this guy to be a life or death scenario. I still love him though.
I love how confident the chinese guys were before the raitai tournament. I wish the arc was a bit longer so we could see a bit more of their fighting techniques.

It's such a weird and random change because no other character had their name changed for the dub so I have no idea why they switched to calling him "Jack Zama" after his introduction even though they had the correct name the first time.Your explanation almost makes sense, but in reverse, if the dubbing team thought English-speaking audiences would confuse "Hammer" and "Hanma" and wanted to change his name to make it less confusing.

i picked up baki a month or two ago and i am finally on the sumo arc (baki dou 2018). is it worth reading? sumoshit does not seem interesting and i have heard its pretty fillery. my fav character is jack and i heard the recent part is focusing on him so i wonder i i could just skip the sumoshit
