Why are the most popular homo ships between guys with female lovers while the most popular yuri ships are between girls without male lovers?

Different standards for male and female homosexuality/bisexuality and different expectations from the audience, most fujos just want men to be like old samurai and love, lust and fuck each other but not to be actual gay couples, the whole fujo culture was born out of old samurai movies full of homoerotic stuff after all. Not to say there are not yaoi manga and anime with normalized male gay couples, but those are objetively not popular. Yurifags want the opposite, they want the girls to be a couple first and it goes without saying it's just common sense the girl who choose a guy will most likely not be interested in a girl.
