As someone who knew of but didn't seek them, I wish TL's of Mushoku Tensei had been more available back in the 2010's because this series has a lot of good perspective-changing content about the ability (realistically) to change yourself and find purpose in the scale of years. Sure, it's unrealistic to think of reincarnation as an option, but the "hard effort is rewarded" concept is tough to ignore.He's obviously talented and brought a lot to his starting position, but there are a lot of realistic "what-if" scenarios that quickly gets at the heart of "how did I get here" and "how do I work this." I think a lot surely comes down to luck and who you know, but the impact a year or two of working every day to improve life instead of "muddling through" or "settling" shouldn't be discarded, and I think Rudy's a good vehicle for both the micro and macro halves of that discussion. He may not be the best and never will be at anything in the world, but he and other characters show what determination and desire can bring.I love this series.
