arc endthis is my favorite comedy arc, not just in Gintama but in manga as a whole. The concept and execution quality is so ridiculously high here. In some way, this is a continuation of Sorachi's genius which I briefly talked about during the KochiKame two-parter tribute. He's the kind of guy who really really takes advantage of manga magazine mechanisms and tropes. Tribute chapters, character popularity polls, timeskips, epilogue arcs... Sorachi is skilled in taking these elements and incorporating them into the manga itself.
