The rest of the season also had great character-focused episodes like Fire in the Sky and story arcs like The Ultimate Doom.Season 2 is more of a mixed bag because of the higher episode count, but you still have bangers like Megatron's Master Plan, Triple Takeover, War Dawn, and The Key to Vector Sigma.The darker tone of season three really benefits the Five Faces of Darkness miniseries, as well as Webworld with it's satire of psychiatry and focus on Galvatron's insanity, and The Burden Hardest To Bear is the penultimate Rodimus episode. Then there's other greats in there like Call of The Primitives and The Return of Optimus Prime which is the perfect finale to the series.Also keep in mind that it was a syndicated show and benefited from not being subject to network limitations, so it was significantly better than the usual Hanna-Barbera Saturday slop that was in at the time. Watch any of the episodes I mentioned and compare it to an actual Saturday Morning cartoon like "The Wuzzles" and you'll see the difference.
