How do I tap into divine power for a second season? Asking for a friend
>>271543588Give money to the people that make that decision and hope that enough other people do too.It also wouldn't hurt to pray every day to the shota buddha.
>>271543588When in the episode did #8 happen?
>>271543762When Shokan was determining Tokiyuki's worth.
>>271543762A little over 15 minutes in.
>>271543588Pray at the Suwa Shrine every day
By when should we realistically know if/when there will be a second season? I don't mind waiting for a second season itself. But the waiting to find out if it's even happening is killing me.
>>271543588It's 100% getting a S2, it's just a question of when they'll announce it.Japs absolutely fucking love it. Don't know about Koreans and Chinese, but they probably absolutely fucking love it too.
>>271543918If it's not announced at Jump Festa, probably 1-2 years from now. CloverWorks and the staff are going to be very busy with different projects.
tanoshii
>>271543588Wow, that matches up nicely with 10 times I masturbated to himGuess I should try to do it to images #2 and #10 to complete the set
>>271543862All faith belongs to Kanako, submit to your new God.
>>271543806Ah okay, so it's slightly different. I did think I would have remembered seeing his collarbones.
Let's look back on the old days.https://files.catbox.moe/nwz3mz.mp4
>>271544068I think this narrative that all the dumb twitterfags hated the manga and only we enlightened few knew it was gonna be awesome is just bullshit. You can find negative comments about ANYTHING and put them in a video to make it sound like hoards of dumb people were dumping on it
>>271543747GET AWAY FROM AYAKO'S BOY WIFE YOU SLUT
>>271543995
>>271543588I've never wanted a second season of anything as much as I've wanted thisI WILL spread the word of TokiyukiI WILL pray to the shota buddha
>>271544295>he doesn't know
What's an address in Japan I can send copies of the manga from Amazon jp? National diet building? Some charity?
>>271544344>they don't know he has no need of mistresses when he has Kojiro
>>271544468Sorry anon, all the homosexuals are on the Ashikaga side.
>>271544441Do you just want to give out the manga to random people?
>>271544560Yes I want to buy them for sales to go up!
>>271544320cute
When is the soundtrack releasing
>>271544068Didn't Bocchi do this? Is it a Japanese thing?
I don't think we needed another thread. Remarkably little to talk about in the final episode
I haven't watched the episode yet, but...there's not already a second cour lined up? Seriously? How?
>>271544936Episode 10 would've been a better ending point for the cour, even if it'd make it shorter than a usual one
>This is a 9 year oldShe looks 15 at least.
>>271544979Quality needs time
>>271545006Then that episode couldn't have had its silly ending. Also, one of the benefits of including this battle is that it's when Tokiyuki's retainers start getting fleshed out more. I've seen both people complaining that they didn't have enough going on before now and praising these last two episodes for breaking that trend with Kojiro. And that continues with everyone else from this point on. So if the anime stopped earlier, it could have given people the impression that it was just going to stay all Tokiyuki all the time and leave them less interested in either picking up the manga or at least looking forward to another season.
>>271543588Eat boar, like Yorishige. I already do it. It's autumn, so finally boar season again!
>>271543588So point to be made. Why watch the anime if we know the protag will fail to keep his Clan relevant like we know Eisei will lose it and chug mercury?
>>271544936I just wanted something to hold me over until the next chapter. Besides, I think one more thread after the last episode isn't too egregious.
>>271543588Pray to the gay gods.
>>271545906A bunch of historical fiction is about tragic figures or the side that "loses"
>>271545556Yeah, ep. 10 was great but it was just more of the stuff we already knew save for the addition of Tadayoshi and the nature spirit part that were great but didn't really change things. The main issue long-running manga have is that most of them become very repetitive and static early on, so it's good ending it on a different note, especially because MC's friends (in this his retainers) and early antagonists (Sadamune/Ichikawa) usually become mere parts of the peanut gallery the moment their introduction or first fight has ended and ep. 12 did the opposite.
I want to eat him.
>>271545906The real treasure is the friends we made along the way
>>271545906Because I'm not bitch-made and can invest in characters even if they're inherently doomed. Also >implying the series doesn't already know you looked up what happened to Tokiyuki
>>271545982Hojo were far from losers. But protag was born into a time when his Clan was in decline to be replaced by a short lived restoration then the Ashikaga.
>>2715459061. You like the antagonists2. You like the journey3. You want to see how it happens since "MC dies" doesn't always mean that an ending is bad. Some of the best endings ever had the MCs dying after achieving something4. They might not necessarily die since this is fiction and Matsui can technically do whatever he wants and divine powers are canon here
>>271545906>Hurr durr why watch Titanic we know the boat sinks at the end
>>271546202To add to 4, Matsui has also used "The historical record was actually wrong/intentionally recorded incorrectly by those involved" as a plot point already, which he could easily do again at the end
>>271545906>Why watch the anime1. Tokiyuki2. Tokiyuki animated3. Tokiyuki's feminine voice4. Tokiyuki giving me boner, now with sound5. Tokiyuki sexo6. Kojiro sexo7. Fubuki sexo8. Genba sexo9. Yorishige sexo10. Nitt- uhh see you in S2 or S311. Absolute cinema kino
>>271545868Not a good idea, Boars begin their rut in November. And when in a rut, the meat tastes horrible. You can smell all the hormones and testosterone from it.
>>271546080I want to force-feed him.
>>271546380Is that really appropriate for an edutainment manga?
>>271546513Learning that history is written with bias is one of the most important things to learn about history
So which one will reap Tokiyuki's seed first?
>>271546551
>>271546513Yes because this is a work of fiction inspired by history and its tall tales.
>>271546513Yes, it's totally fine because it's very clearly laying out "What's recorded in history is THIS ... but our story is this." Not just telling you the wrong version. So if anything kids will remember the correct version better because so much attention was drawn to it
>>271546573Yorishige did it first.
>>271543588I'm dumb and forgetful, can anyone remind me why the girls weren't part of the last mission?
>>271546700There was no particular reason, Yorishige just wanted dude's night out and keep the girls away from ugly bastards.
>>271546700Yorishige foresaw that the girls would've been put at unnecessary risk for a messenger mission, for reasons that aren't further specified
>>271546700My two wives were there so that's not true
>>271546795>>271546807Grim. Thanks.>>271546826Those are boys.
What's you final rating, /a/?
>>271546700Ain't nobody wants to see women in action.
>>271546856How can they be boys when I'm gonna get them pregnant any day now?
>>271546878R
>>271546878is left's show any good
>>271546856>Grim.I mean it IS what happens, but yeah.>>271546889I'm very ok with women in action, it's just that the series is well aware of the consequences of failure in that time.
>>271547011Ya bretty gud. The perfect show to have watched before this one. Watching it after, just be aware it's very different from NigeWaka and trying to do different things. It's more absurd, more comedic, less grounded but a little more character based
>>271547021Still surprised they went that explicit with the little gold digger girl. Felt bad, man.
>>271547078>that explicitWhat do you mean? They just looted her cupboards, remember? Emily-chan said so
>>271547112
As many anons I was lured by this scene, but shotalust aside it ended up being my AOTY.
>>271546423I only care about the taste I never smell all that stuff
>>271547078Yeah it was the first sign the author wasn't going to hold back like before. There was some cope back in the day that>uhhh mistranslation?? the author would never mention something like this!lollmao
>>271547145The meat in the rut doesn't taste well either. It is too though, and sinewy. It is common knowledge among the hunters to not shoot the boars in a rut.
>>271547206I hate that the official manga translations in my country say she was "robbed". It made no fucking sense to me. If anything they would rob the father not the kid. Where does the kid even store the valuable things? It was so stupid it took me till the anime to get that she was raped not robbed.
>>271547240We always eat them in autumn here which is boar season, but we mainly eat the young ones not the adult boars.
>>271547262It is meant to be partially wordplay but the intention is quite obviously meant to be>they "robbed" her purityLike one can easily put 2 and 2 together with the spread legs in that panel. It's fucked up, yeah but still.
latter half of this cour really dragged this down, I ended up enjoying Shoushimin and Wistoria more
>>271547418>WistoriaYou're a stronger anon than me
https://x.com/nigirimeshi320/status/1840347855753760873
>>271547021>I'm very ok with women in actionYou know what, it's fine because it's anime. I just grew tired with things notanime. But I still prefer seeing the boys swordfighting. But yeah I think you might be right.
>>271547506>I just grew tired with things notanime.I think I'm aware of what you're talking about and that's because there's a difference in what they consider "strength" or "cool". They would never make a character like Shina or even Ayako ever.>But I still prefer seeing the boys swordfighting.Yeah that's still there in spades, as it should be. It's never going to derail from that because the author isn't retarded.
>>271547418Wistoria looks good and I feel like I should like it but I cannot make myself watch another episode of it and I don't even know why. Maybe in the next weeks before the new season starts.
>>271547506>>271547670>Boys swordfightingYes I enjoy that too anons hee hee hee
>>271543970Bear in mind fucking Frieren only just got its s2 announcement. It isn't always right after s1 ends
>>271545115Imagine how fertile she'll be at 15.
>>271545006>>271545556Chapter 32, the next chapter to be adapted, also makes for a much better second cour first episode. It can easily be used to reintroduce the cast and their core mission.
>>271546513The big thing about that period is that the only chronicle of it, Taiheiki, is already full of shit, historians try to find as much writing from that era as possible to cross-reference.
Just finished, god what a great show. >>271546878Great to fantastic/10The only complaint and fear for the future would be the CGI was a bit jarring at times especially mixed with the otherwise well done animation.
>the coffee collab food gets fanart on its own now
>>271546878The anime? At the very least an 8-9/10. CGI is a bummer but expected everything else went above and beyond with the fights, voice acting, music, and direction. I was very pleasantly surprised. Felt like they understood the source material and liked it.
>>271548661Rereading the manga afterwards was interesting. I legit spotted improvements in almost every second scene especially for the first episodes. They never just copied panels, they always thought about how to make it better. It's always possible to make something good even better so this is how adaptions should be like.
Where can I see more zany Heian/Kamakura/Nanbokucho characters? I've developed a taste for this. Specifically ones being weirdoes, not stately calm ones
>>271549205Onmyoji was great.
>>271548829I want to see how the anime team handles Kyo so much. Even though it's narratively kind of "sad" for Tokiyuki towards the end it's also a pivotal moment for his motivations.
>>271549258There wasn't much zaniness, though, was there? Not high-energy funny type of zaniness anyway
>>271549205First episode of Time Patrol Bon
>>271549259I hope that it gets another season but I also hope that they take their time to find some people or ways to animate horses or at least trace over CGI horses to make it 2D and less jarring. The future battles involve even more horses and they contain some cool or emotional scenes that I don't want to look janky or have them limit the fights to talking heads and the upper body parts of characters to avoid showing the horses they ride. You know especially those scenes where character do that huge horse jump trying to kill their respective enemy that happens multiple times in the manga.
>>271546878AOTY and praying for a second season.
15 MINUTES
>>271549422That depends on what you consider zany. The banter was really good and funny.
Is this new chapter a rape metaphor?
>>271543588Can't wait till winter comiket.
>>271550378There better be some mob doujinshi
>>271550269Rape? Nah just a bit of spit, like when I used to bully the younger boys in my boarding school! Ha ha ha!
>>271546795Why wasn't he worried about the boys being raped by ugly bastards?
>>271550269Ya think? Also we get to see Shizuku's tiny little ball sack (not a real spoiler) (or is it?)
>>271550378I hope you don't expect anything but gay stuff
Searching stuff I saw in the manga thread, I saw this nice post about someone searching for the place Sadamune and Tokiyuki have their big showdown when Tokiyuki is like 14https://ameblo.jp/bd20159/entry-12833906533.htmlHope both manga and anime get there eventually
>>271551967Because he can see the future.
>>271553103The ends of his first two battles with him were already top tier (chapter 71 and the 130s or wherever it was) and some of my favorite parts of the manga, cannot imagine how the third one will be if it happens where he should win again. I really hope they improve the horse animation till then though, some of the scenes won't work with CGI.
I will be sad if there won't be a frog dude with long tongue and a bird dude or something with beak or long nose considering that we have the big ears guy and the big eyes guy so far.
>>271555142There is actually a tongue guy, but he isn't as important as eyes and ears.>a bird dudeThat's Tokiyuki.
Shouldn't Tokiyuki have more of an issue with using a bow than a sword if he's too weak for the latter? A sharp sword can do some serious damage if you swing it fast enough, even without much physical power behind it. But if you are weak you won't be able to shoot an arrow straight. Drawing the bow requires more strength than swinging a sword.
>>271556774Technically yes, if you want to be accurate. But thematically the bow makes more sense.
>>271556774No because bows require pulling muscles not pushing muscles
>>271556774His weakness with a sword isn't just that he's super physically weak. It's that his running away instincts impede his ability to commit to an aggressive strike and use what strength he has effectively. But also, you don't need a bow with a particularly high draw weight to kill someone. Even arrows from a child's bow can be lethal if they hit somewhere without armor. And while armor during this period was designed with defense against arrows in mind, it still left some parts exposed. And not everyone had the best armor available. So using a bow would help a noodle armed, pathological retreater like Tokiyuki to be somewhat of a threat. Also, later on the strength component of archery is addressed and Tokiyuki concedes that he's never going to be that good for precisely that reason.
>>271557853>retreaterKek, I have a new term to describe myself now
>>271546573Right with the Lipstick is guaranteed first, she already tries to get Tokiyuki when he's alone with themCenter who got the arrow to the ear is second, she's still got the dokidoki for Tokiyuki after he had the shooting contest with SadamuneLeft with the genkiness is third, she'll do it if her friends do it
>>271556774I also want to add that Japanese bows from that period had light draw weights compared to, say, the English longbows of a later time.
Finally caught up with the episode. I liked it. But it feels very much like a final episode for a series with more to come even if a sequel shouldn't be decided yet. That aside though, I hate Kiyohara though that was probably the point. Still, Sadamune should have warned Ichikawa about what kind of asshole he would be dealing with, he's a bad friend.
>>271559088I don't think Sadamune was expecting the Kokushi to try and take direct control of military matters like that. Court nobles usually let the lowly, filthy warriors handle that sort of thing. He probably thought it was going to be Ichikawa and Yonemaru making all the actual decisions while the Kokushi just sat there being annoying but ultimately harmless.
>Emperor Godaigo and the Imperial Court expect to rule the country.>Go-Daigo's government is painfully ineffective and both the public and samurai hate the new gov as a result, which allows Takauji to gain power and most of them can't fight under their own power and rely on what few loyal samurai they have since most samurai flock to Takauji.
>>271559622I thought that Ichikawa would be an evil, filthy backstabber at first but turns out he's actually one of the rare sane characters in that world. I would feel sorry for him for dealing with multiple emotionally unstable people if he didn't enjoy being around his tantrum throwing Shugo friend. It will be funny seeing them working with Kiyohara in the future since neither of them like that guy.
>>271543747>Shizuku will never do this to youI'm starting to think life may not be worth living
>>271547915I'm guessing it's gonna get announce once production is underway. Maybe that's why Frieren got announced until now. Both RuroKen and Spice & Wolf got announced right away because production was already underway by the end of S1.
>>271545115And she's absolutely Sexoooooooooo.>>271547931That's already veering into hag territory. The plowing should start now.
>>271544535>子供作りしたいThis but with me and Ayako.
>>271545906Tragedy can be nice if done well, plus it's about the journey not the destination.
>>271546700Anon they were up against a fat, ugly, bastard. How do you think it would've ended had they gone along?
>>271545906What's worse than seeing the best characters dying is Takauji surviving
>>271561109Why would only fat people rape?If anything the kokushi feels more like the potential rapist here, though Ayako could manhandle him alone which would be funny.
>>271560300Same. I thought I wouldn't like Ratman, but he turned out to be pretty cool.
>>271561179>kokushi>potential rapistHe outright states he's planning on taking some of the women for his harem. So yeah, the fat ugly bastard is definitely not the only one to worry about.
>>271543918We have no idea. I saw a leaker claiming that they consider s2 but only after Bochi s2 and s2 of Bisque Doll or whatever it was but not sure if it's an actual leaker, if it means jack shit and if it's even relevant that the others are mentioned first because it depends on the team that's working on them and AFAIK at least BD and TES do not share the same directors so it would be irrelevant that the other anime came first. Sometimes they also only announce it months or more after already working on it.
Can someone explain the whole Yorishige being a god thing? How could the other lords don't freak out that one of them openly talks about being a god and gets worshiped by its subjects? Was it, like, a normal thing? And in what way is he a god?
>>271545906You can think of it as adding an "anime filter" over a history-focused series. Even if the characters and events are set in stone, the characters' personalities, their struggles and the overall presentation of such events is still entertaining as a creative endeavor.
>>271562905He's basically the incarnation/vessel of the god of the Suwa Grand Shrine. It's similar to how the emperor is/was considered a living god. It comes with the position. There were also people considered to have been gods, usually after death, due to achieving great feats. So it wasn't some crazy thing that would freak people out.
>>271563407>tfw being reduced to the sperm donator role
>>271564029I wish Genba acted gay more than this one single time so people would make more art/porn of him being a slut while disguised as other people.
>>271564816Genba needs to be aggressively straight to make up for how gay the rest of the males in the cast act
>>271565048Poor Genba seems to be into MILFs and there are almost no MILFs in this world because men are apparently procreating by planting trees that grow children or something.
do drunk shotas really do this?
>>271565362he should do that on my dick
>>271565362Was this scene really necessary?
>>271564029>>271564816>low charismaIt's just not the same
>>271565362I miss samurai shit Saturdays. I don't care enough about most of the anime I watch to talk about them anymore so sometimes I spent multiple seasons without posting anywhere besides in some good general manga threads and it sucks.
>>271565608Are YOU really necessary?
>>271565362Not all of them, Kojiro is too pure to throw his ass at random ojisans
>>271564029would he really let me put a finger up his anus for money?
So when is the chapter of Kojiro, Tokiyuki, and Genba comparing their shafts and balls? They are at the age where it's normal for them to be interested in that kind of thing.
>>271567381It's in the newest chapter, check it out.
>>271565608Sort of. The sharp tone shifts that some people have complained about are, for better or worse, a deliberate stylistic choice. Tokiyuki's butt attack was the goofy thing used to reel the tone back towards the lighthearted side after it had gotten dark with him reliving the death of his family.
>>271563645Regardless of whether they have divinity or not, Suwa clan is said to be an ancient clan that has existed in Japan's recorded history, just like Tenno.Because of that, while many aristocratic and samurai clan are linked to Amaterasu through Tenno, the Suwa clan bases their legitimacy on a different deity(Takeminakata).
