And since June said "if the bonds between the seven were to be broken, the devil would return again." So if I were to depict that future, would it mean that everyone broke their vows? I end up thinking about these things a lot.>The fans were very happy to hear about it, but how did you feel about the reaction?>Hishida: I thought they were overreacting (laughs). I wanted people to watch KinPri Dramatic Prism.1 and think "oh they're going to restart", but it was already a huge hit when the information was released in Marh. I thought "let's calm down a little first!">Director Hishida is now the "general director" of the project, what are your thoughts and feelings about this change?>Hishida: Tomino was the general director of Gundam so I wanted to be the general director someday (laughs). But actually, at the time of Pretty Rhythm All Star Selection the Movie Prism Show Best Ten, I was already the general director which made the audience very excited about it. I was little concerned about the restart so I thought it would be a good opportunity to ask to be the general director for this particular project since it would be a sort of re-edit.>Will there be any changes to your role?>Hishida: The staff members have been replaced after the gap of some time, which makes it sometimes difficult to achieve unity in the project. I feel like I'm overseeing that aspect of the project the most. I do this by responding to opinions on the various things happening, such as in the game.

I wanted everyone to see that. For example, I think Shin's show was controversial at the time it was broadcast. I think everyone who watches that show with Shine in mind and with the understanding of the character backgrounds will see that show as a great success. But if you watch it quickly without that context you'll think it was horrible. It was a tremendous show with seven jumps, 4 in a row being the best. There were some people in the anime audience in hurt and crying, so I was wondering how how the real audience would feel if the watched the show continuously like that. I wanted to challenge everyone's assumption about how it would have felt if they were actually in the audience watching it. So I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of reaction people will have when they see it this time.>In the story when Shin sheds tears and apologizes on stage, we see him looking at the hurt people in the audience and feeling heartbroken, but this time we don't see the people in the audience so we don't know why Shin suddenly started crying there.
Bad TL 3/9>Hishida: I thought that the right thing to do would be to experience that kind of awkward feeling. I don't think new people who are watching KinPri for the first time will really understand it but I hope they get hooked on it and then watch KinPri by Pretty Rhythm. >As a director, what were your impression after watching Dramatic Prism.1?>Hishida: This would have been a terrible program if it actually aired. It's would have gotten a lot of flak and the people who saw it would have been disgusted. After all, one person during a jump, another one fell down after their show, and the broadcast stopped multiple times. What's more, one of the member is shown crying and apologizing to the audience that the broadcast didn't cut. As I watched it I thought it must have been terrifying for the TV station employee in charge of live programming (laughs).>I see (laughs). The fact that there were commercials here and there was also a highlight, but could you tell me as a director what your were particular about?>Hishida: After doing a lot of organizing to make it like a live TV broadcast, we decided to include a commercial and the first commercial was for people who were seeing KinPri for the first time (TL note: OTR's naked hachimitsu kiss). I wanted them to understand that this is what the work is about. I used the hachimitsu kiss to promote a product. But as a result, wouldn't you feel the pressure of capitalism or the constraints of the current Japanese economy? (laughs) After all, the commercial is tied to the jump that Over the Rainbow is doing. Both Honey and tower apartments too. That's scary isn't it? Obviously OTR has grown up and knows what tie-up is (laughs) Since it was Jin who proposed the PRISM.1 I thought he'd be a talented person who'd make that kind of business a reality. Jin is seen in a bad light but from a business perspective he is a genius. I hope that his genius is conveyed.

In other words, the song is a glimpse into Jin's friendship with Sanada from that time. By the way, I wrote the lyrics to that song. Basically, I only get requests to write for bath songs (Edl Rose Bath performed in the KinPri stage play) and comedic songs (laughs). I made it with the hope that everyone would sing along with the chorus part.>I laughed at so many of the Juoin Group company names in the commercials.>Hishida: Everyone thought up company names but I kept ending them back because they weren't good enough (laughs). If you look closely at the commercials you'd think the Juoin Group is truly a terrible company. >During the opening ceremony, OTR's Nijiro Crown featured a new jump. There was also Prism After Recording, which was highly difficult, but please tell us the concept behind the jump.>Hishida: When it comes to the jumps I always rely on Kato-san (TL note: Daisuke Kato) from Syn-Sophia, and this time I asked him to come up with a fan fiction. He suggested the "Storytelling Spun with You" series (laughs). (TL note: idk what 君と紡ぐ物 語 is) The last time we got a ring and got married, so the idea was the next step would be for us to look for a place to live together.>There were moments where I though "what did Kouji just say?"

I'm always troubled by the high hurdles of Kouji in the 3 step jump, but I still think Kato is a genius. And this time, for the first time there's a jump called Honey Over the Rainbow, but the jump is for the audience to jump. I think this is the first time for the audience to jump and that was our challenge this time. It's up to you to decide if you will jump or not. >As the support screening pioneer, you feel the need to take on new challenges. >Hishida: There's been a lot of various cheer screenings but they were more like a normal screening. When I heard they were "supporting" us, I thought we must do something more interesting, and I definately want to try something new. >What kind of things did you pay attention to when editing?>Hishida: It had to create the feeling of a live broadcast when transitioning between the prism shows. When we first created Pretty Rhytm our catchphrase was "live fit anime" and after more than 10 years I think we've managed to make it especially live fit this time. (TL note: live fit is engrish) >I had the impression that Alec's show had a stronger sense of battle due to the live commentary.>Hishida: I included a live commentary for that section to help those who find it difficult to follow what is going on. However, even with the live commentary I don't think you can understand what's going on (laughs). Incidently, the announcer doing the pay-by-play is Kurokawa. I think he a lover of street music and has been following it since the underground days. I hope that you can experience the street-style Prism Show as it is seen that way and is so exciting in that world. >There's also new dance parts added by connecting the Prism Shows>Hishida: We restored parts of Kakeru's show that were cut in the original edit. As you may have guessed, the "We got natural gas!" part is new.

When I saw him pick up the phone saying "My phone number is 3710" I thought "what an idiot". The Prism Live part of Yuu's show is very moving to me, but other than that I often think "what an idiot". By the way when I say "what an idiot" I'm actually praising them (laughs).>It has a charm that never fades no matter how many years pass.>Hishida: Also Nanairo no Chikai! -Brilliant Oath- was very moving at the time I was first making it, but now seeing it again in this form I realize why Edel Rose lost to Schwarzrose and am amazed at how Shin is doing the show with such a smile after crying in the show before and knowing that Edel Rose would be disbanded when they lose. I thought it was very impressive, even though his mind must have been a mess. As a prism star, I felt the strength of his heart to bring smiles to the faces of everyone watching.>Also one of the highlights of this work is the show feature Schwarz Rose's strongest star, Joji, has finally been made into CG.>Hishida: He did it!>I wonder if it was everyone's desire to make a CG show for Joji.>Hishida: The CG director, Otobe, told me he would make it. I said he didn't have to make it but he said he wanted to so I took his word for it.>Has he ever asked you about the show?

Of course that was all Otobe's power, but I also felt Joji's power.>Once again I realized Joji is a talented star.>Hishida: He's makes sure to keep an eye on everyone. There are those times at a live concert where you'll say "oh he just looked at me" or "he just looked at you". That's what I wanted to evoke. That's why Joji is the one who is watching the audience the most during his show. The other kids tend to just look straight ahead.>"Full Throw Ace of Hearts", a scene where Joji catches a pitch from his ghost singer Ace was added.>Hishida: Was it me who suggested that? I might have said "I don't think Joji is going to catch it". I think that part really depicts the touching relationship between the two of them. Joji catches Ace's full throttled throw and I'm sure this is the first time that it happened.>I heard the director was very particular about the sound of the mit catching it>At first it was like bash but I told them it was a 10km straight and they changed it to a thud (laughs).>Are there any aspects that Otobe was particular about?>Hishida: The car in which the two of them ride is CG. I didn't ask for it but they made it for us anyway. The 3DCG staff is full of people who love this work and they all have fun making it. The same goes fo the costumes in Dramatic LOVE, it's the results of all the passionate efforts of the staff.>It's really nice to see them dancing in their school uniforms in Dramatic LOVE

Dramatic LOVE was the ending theme for the first work (KinPri by Pretty Rhythm), but the credits were not planned to have insert illustrations until the last minute before it was released, so the staff hurriedly borrowed Matsuura's illustrations to use them. I was the one who ended up making them. And since everyone loved that ending, I thought it would be appropriate for them to dance in their uniforms so I asked to do a new modeling. Actually there were already proper costumes in the movie, but I decided to make them look like they appeared changed for an encore. This is revealed in the audio drama included in the SEPTENTRION album so those who listen to it will understand. Also when it comes to choreography, the characters are still amateurs so I asked them to not make it too flashy. >The post ending song including Dramatic LOVE was sublime. Shin came back in a time machine and kept his promise to hug you in the 22nd century. >Hishida: Did you see anything strange with that? (laughs) I was really thinking about make a sequel in the 22nd century so when I thought about how we'd get there I realized "oh the Juoin Group is there". >I'm glad Kakeru is there (laughs). >>272178311Purely opinion here. Are they similar types?, Do they have similar quirks?, Common gimmicks?, Do they have similar aesthetics and colors?, What about personality?. It is easy to do with aira and rhythm because they are almost always the main characters of the anime even with only reading about them. Slightly more confusing with the other characters but not too bad with mion and kaname (except there's way too many rinne lines). Also the male characters are kind of easy to categorize because there's only a few of them. A real challenge would be trying to categorize all the dmf character archetypes with the other ones, you probably have to memorize a lot of details or write their characteristics because there's so many characters in pripara and prichan. Then there's earnest wishing logic, but that's kind of complex and requires belief.

Having a flip dynamic between Himari and mitsuki from previous shows where the rhythm would usually be the excitable dumb one. And the connecting thread from hina to mitsuki would probably be hina wishing she was like amane. In my opinion at least. The only part that might be odd is how they had the seconary character take mion's primary aesthetics while making mion archeytype the black/purple side character.
