The one girl in Free is a better fanservice vehicle and pairs nicely for heterosexual shipping unlike the one in Blue Lock and there's a lot going on in Free if you don't care as much for the flaming homosexuality. It remains a pretty conventional sports anime with its framing. The relationships between the men is gay as fuck but it's shounen homoerotic friendship turned up to 11 like the writers grew up on Naruto x Sasuke. Blue Lock is less overtly gay but the relationships between the men don't really carry any platonic elements at all. It reads like actual yaoi where losing a team mate is framed like NTR, one dude literally talks about coming and wants to stay over with people, there's no female gaze involved so all the fascination is between men, and the guys revolve their lives around each other so heavily.
