What am I in for? Just typical ecchi?

What confuses me is that the author is a woman, yet the story has male gaze, how does that make sense?

Rumiko Takahashi is a closeted lesbian

alien pussy and butthole

>male gaze
Get all of that retarded dog shit out of your brain. Not even memeing at you, don’t let mentally ill people condition you to make yourself miserable. More importantly, Ran is best girl (still not memeing). It’s a great show (the original, the remake is okay but rather soulless), enjoy!

Depends on the version, the 80s one was a lot more mean with it's comedy than the remake, it was a lot crazier too, it had a better soundtrack but it is over 180 episodes long while the remake is only 48
the remake is also censored so it all depends on your taste

Not all women are american trash.

>the remake is also censored so it all depends on your taste
in what way?
I don't imagine the 80s had nudity.

>Just typical ecchi?
No.
>the story has male gaze
Not really.
>>
>>272347781
>I don't imagine the 80s had nudity
The 80s was full of nudity. Well, not as much as Ranma but you would get some fanservice once every 10-15 episodes. The reboot is censored slop. No nipples, no butts, no nudity, no groping, not even pantyshots. Safe and sanitized for modern audiences and Western sensibilities.

retard

The author is gay so it's not strange.

Came here to post this.

Ranma, by the same creator had topless nudity in several episodes, and even in one of the later OPs. Way to show your age.

Japan and the west have vastly diffirent ideas of what constitutes female empowerement
>>
>>272348681
and people jerk off to this?

>>272348845
Thankfully western feminists are helping Japanese women understand they are being oppressed by the patriarchy
>>
>>272347509
Why is /a/ so weird about female authors? This manga was published in a shounen magazine what do you except.
>>
>>272349072
because it is weird seeing them oppress themself
>>
>>272347613
>ran
I dont know why im attracted to her other than her big poofy pink hair.
But i think its her explosive personality in where she just says exactly whats on her mind when shes pushed too far.

This is from an 80s shounen manga.

Needs to be on Ataru’s face until he accepts he loves her.

lmao
once upon a time heterosexuality was considered good and normal

>make character as comic relief based on your school bullies
>character turns into a fan favorite and wrestles a win out of you
imagine losing to a fictional character
imagine losing to a fictional character you created

It's kind of weird because Lum was super popular from the start, but she gets completely defanged once she becomes the main heroines (stops attacking/plotting against other girls, only focusing her anger on Ataru).
>>
>>272351763
UY the anime essentially an entirely separate story from UY that manga. It shares some basic plot points but overall it's mainly its own thing. Lum gets far more focus in the anime than she does in the manga, from what I remember. She's basically the protagonist in the anime.
>>
>>272348044
There's groping.
>>
>>272347509
Zany comedy. A lot of ghost stories and wacky antics. The manga is less horny than the anime. It features pretty girls with somewhat skimpy outfits but it isn't the primary draw. The jokes aren't usually based on it at all. I would not go in expected a lot of ecchi humor just because of the designs and Ataru's pervertedness. There's like three nosebleeds in the entire 38 volumes.

It isn't as bad as the censorship in Ranma but aside of the nudity they toned down a lot in the remake like Ran's mom beating her up as a baby and did other retarded shit like adapting Kurama's 4 manga appearance as her debut and mixing up to 3 manga chapters a single 11 minutes segment, that's what happens when you only got 48 episodes to work with, some minor/recurring manga characters who did show up in the 80s anime also got relegated to either a single episode, a single nonspeaking cameo or didn't show up at all due to the low episode number

I couldn't get through more than two episodes of the remake but the original is super fun, one of my favorite anime of all time. Most of the stories follow some absurd situation that just keeps getting worse and worse and never resolves. Great voice acting and all the girls are super cute.

>It isn't as bad as the censorship in Ranma
NuRanma still has the nudity. It just doesn't show the nipples. NUrusei had ZERO fanservice.
>>
>>272352307
And then UY the movies are a further thing apart from UY the anime.
>>
>>272352860
I mean, it is a best of. We got the better of the Kurama chapters. Her schtick with Mendo was a lot of fun.
>>
>>272352647
There isn't.
