Yoru defiling Asa's pretense relationship with Denji is what I call a precise detail in storytelling, also one I predicted and said would happen. I said Denji never fell for anything Asa did, she bores him and is not his type, he just fell for Yoru's whorish disgusting antics and this will prompt him to always be on Yoru's side once a conflict emerges between Yoru and Asa.However, when people read stories they need to look at the bigger picture, the general gist of the idea. The attached pic is a perfect example of that. If you read the story carefully you'll figure out early on that Asa's predetermined character arc is that she must realize that CSM/Denji is NOT her prince in shining armor, that he is a bad person and bad for her in particular, but more than anything she needs to realize he is her biggest enemy in this world because his intentions towards her are not honorable and he will try and do to her what he did to Reze, Power, Makima and Nayuta. Basically in order for the story to move even an inch, Asa first needs to realize this and turn on both Denji and on Yoru. Until she does this, the story is still in stagnant water and did not progress a millimeter. Since this is an ending of the arc I expect this to happen now, especially after all the horrible shit Asa witnessed: Denji not wanting to bond with her or hear about her tragic past, Denji dragging her to a brothel, her body being molested by a whore devil and an incel sex-offender and Nayuta's head on a plate. Basically the payoff to her living through all of this is now. Only idiots who don't read the story think Asa predetermined arc is her growing closer and bonding with him, it's actually the exact opposite of that.
Being a fan of Fujimoto at this point must feel like being a battered wife. Have some fucking self-respect, there are other kino authors out there that actually treat their fans as human beings, and not money-producing, mindless cattle. I moved on to Sui Ishida and Tsutomo Nihei, and I've never been happier.

She will expose Denji for whom the truly is in the next few chapters and leave him to rot, which will prompt him to kill the children by eating Aging. That's her predetermined character arc and the only way the story is capable of growing and moving forward. Denji is not Asa's prince in shining armor, even a monkey can understand that.
