But, they felt that as the series went on, particularly in the second half, these emotional descriptions became thinner and thinner. Sometimes to the point that the characters themselves were being twisted around to service the plot.I think this scene here is just a colossal fuck up. These three girls are in agony. But, Kana finds the strength to pick herself up (offscreen entirely) and goes to the depressed Memcho and manages to convince her to stand back up. Then the two of them reach out to the utterly despondent Ruby and manage to get her back on her two feet as well.By all rights, this should be an amazing scene. The camaraderie and friendship these three forged over two and a half years allows them to draw the strength to stand back up from the bond they share together. If only you know, we really got to see it. If only we got to see their thoughts, and if the scene had some fucking dialogue. If only we knew what they said to each other to give each other the strength to go on instead of Aka leaving it entirely to us to just make up while he's the author.This scene could very well have been one of the emotional high points of the entire manga, if only Aka gave even the slightest fuck.
