>>273166249Meido!
And that's it. He really isn't good at much. Are you reliable?
>>273166535Thanks OP I'm not sure. I certainly try and be there and do all I can do, but sometimes I worry I can't do much
>>273166535I think I generally amThanks as always OP!
It would be funny if I said otherwise after my answer, but the watchalong will indeed start in about 3 hours
>>273167099What a reliable guy
>>273166535Thanks OP>Are you reliable?I don't think I am, but others have called me reliable. So I guess that makes me so
>>273166535it's one of my best qualities. My friend trusted me to feed his turtles this evening so I can't start my drinking yetSpeaking of which, since the thread got archived yesterday, I'll post it here: to the Anon from the Shima threads, I finished the Division Chief album (through Volume 11), including a track list so you can Ctrl+F, as well as the individual Volumes as Tinyurl. You had said you wanted to have it for your company's year-end party, so I pulled some overtime ie, between meetings when I had nothing better to do to get this together for your review before the big dayhttps://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_9D88sZlTPa78buUPQ1bi9WS_PcPbbI8
>>273166494This is too lewd, I can't believe the dad approved this.
>>273166535Thanks OP.Kinda, but I would rather not have others rely on me.
>>273166535I can reliably do many things at slightly below average level of skill.
>>273166445Justified anger
>>273166535Thanks, anonsito.

>>273198292Thanks OP War crimes aren't real
>>273198292>How many war crimes have you committed?it depends on your definition of a war crime
>>273198292It's like that Spongebob episodeA war criminal was extradited to here from France just this week and it WASN'T meThanks as always OP!

>>273220842Cute
>>273221248Calligraphy is underrated.
>>273223586Someone should write a manga about it
>>273223807but they should probably know about calligraphy, this time

>>273233512Hatsumoude is such a good concept, culturally speaking. It's this low-investment event that forces everyone to go outside and visit the local shrine. Even if you don't really have friends, you'll see someone you know and you can learn how to make small talk with them. The western equivalent of a "new years party" doesn't help NEETs socialize, for instance, because nobody invites them. I guess you can go to a big new years celebration at your local pub or downtown, but it's not quite the same. People don't really bring their families to the pub.
>>273233981>People don't really bring their families to the pub. They do here
>>273234077Fucking europeans
>>273233981Well good to know Japan solved its NEET problem
>>273233824>What games would you play with Riko?my lawyer told me that i will not partake in such activities

>>273166445>that facelmao
>>273264088Holy shit>>273264203The feeling of despair after failing and not knowing if you can make it in the end is the worst I was a B-grade student through almost the entirety of my education. I'm completely fine and happy with thatThanks as always OP!
>>273264203Thanks OP, I had good grades. What about you?
>>273264002TL pls
>>273264002
>>273264088
>>273264203It would unironically be better if she doesn't make it in. Because sometimes that's just life. And Mita's life is kinda too perfect that failing something she tried so hard at would be very humanising, humbling, and down to Earth.
>>273264866Life doesn't make a good story
>>273263976>10 hour day to take one (MOCK) examGlad I never had to take any exams like that.>>273264203>Did you get good grades in school?I went to american public school. Most classes you had to try in order to fail. College on the other hand, I did not do well in.
>>273264203>Did you get good grades in school?yes, until I got lazy, at which point i only got good grades when i wasn't lazy
>>273264170Tamiko noooooooo
>>273252921County fairs are community events, not cultural events.
>>273264203Thanks OP. I'm extremely intelligent, so no, my grades weren't amazing. I definitely couldn't have made it in Japanese society.
>>273264203Thanks OP I passed most things, barely passed maths, and never did well on my languages. In college, I also passed most things. I've never been exceptional, but I got by
>>273264088Make it Mo
>>273265921>I'm extremely intelligent, so no, my grades weren't amazingSure anon...
>>273266096SHUT UPYOU DON'T GET IT I WAS JUST LAZY
>>273266096I'm sure he got that from an authoritative source (his mom)
>>273266198No doubt about it anon...
>>273264293Yeah, I always did pretty well in school.
>>273264203Yeah, pretty good and got to my uni of choice but I didn't amount to much after all that effort.
>>273264203Thanks OPThis is why you don't take a practice exam within a week of the real thing, a bad score will crush your confidence. That being said, if I don't do better on the LSAT this time than I did last time, I'm killing myself. So who am I to talk?
>>273264203>Did you get good grades in school?lol no, i was an awful student, i was called out a lot during parent meetings, good times
>>273264203>Did you get good grades in school?I was one of those kids lucky enough to be really good at school. I never had to study and could regularly coast to a B+. My poor mother and teachers always lamented that if I just turned in my homework, I could have straight A's
>>273268301I knew a guy in a college that was easily the top of the class but never turned anything in and never showed up and failed every single class every single year, and during the second chance to pass he essentially would do a year's worth of college work in like a week while working and doing other stuff and get into the next year. He's doing pretty well for himself, last I heard from him
>>273264160>This is fine...>>273264191>NO IT'S NOT FINENot so perfect after all huh?
>>273264203Thanks OP.Not really, I was the same as >>273268301. When I could no longer coast with high test scores alone, I started skipping classes and eventually dropped out.
>>273264203Terrible.Primary school and high school didn't give a shit about students that struggled, you got tossed aside and left in the dirt. More so primary school.>classes separated into 4 colour groups>teachers paid very little attention to those in the 2 lowest groups>would have substitute teachers teach us>teacher also hated me and my friends and would insult us every chance she gotI think they also thought I couldn't read well because I can't read aloud for shit. Fuck that school and fuck the teachers. They even had a fucking pedo headteacher at one point.
>>273264203>Did you get good grades in school?High school?I averaged a little over 85 because I got 100s in science and math and D's in English and History (because I didn't do essays and writing assignment homework).College?I got all the grades, from A through F. My third semester was bad. C+, C, C-, F. I think I was above 3.2 by the time I graduated.
>>273264088That sucks it's okay to fail Mita>>273264203Yeah until college, I didn't know how to study since highschool was always easy then I had to actually learn how to study properly
>>273264160cope
>>273264203Thank you for posting.
>>273166535Cute manga.People say so. It doesn't really feel like it to me. It feels like the things people are thankful for and tell me I'm a reliable man for are the things which take almost no thought and effort from me, while the things which take a lot of thought and effort from me are the things that people just assume I should do.
>>273264203I had the classic ADHD trajectory of amazing SATs, amazing-but-not-quite-as-good-as-expected GCSEs, and (what felt like) abhorrent A-Levels (with hindsight getting BBC wasn't as world ending as I felt it was, but I was in a grammar school and everyone else got AAA).
>>273271590I see, so it was like that, huh?I don't know what any of that means.
>>273271590>with hindsight getting BBC wasn't as world ending as I felt it wasUmm...
>>273264203Thanks, anonsito.
>>273271590Are you me? I never studied a day in my life(not that I didn't try). I got great grades for the most part, got predicted A*AA, ended up getting an ACC, tried to retake, then covid hit and resit students got assraped with NO exams and NO new results. So I ended up going to a crap university which I've been flailing in for the last few years since my ADHD meds got cut off for no reasonReally fighting the urge to off myself ngl
>>273252921county fairs can be super clustered events and a relatively "complicated" commitment, much more than any kind of shrine visiting. In comparison, hatsumoude>walk or public transit to shrine>wait in line>say a prayer>go back homeA county fair is as the name describes--gathering the whole county for a fair. That means>driving to the site (and probably paying for overpriced parking)>paying for an overpriced ticket>walking through packed rows of vendors, carnival games, and fried food>looking at the barn animals and large vegetables>maybe there's a rodeo, concert, or demolition derby, depending on the dayit's structured to be an afternoon or even a whole day event to be a part of the crowd which is the antithesis to an antisocial person. If someone can bear that they're alone and don't want to talk to someone on hatsumoude, they totally can get away with that, have their private moment, and call it good. A county fair's just an organized carnival but there probably aren't any clowns
>>273275997Thanks anon. I should maybe clarify that I am a burger, just one that doesn't go outside much. So I don't really know what local events this country does
>>273276022yeah, Obon (the august festival) might be more like a county fair (but with more fireworks than monster trucks)Japanese new year doesn't have as much spectacle, even though it's widely practiced
>>273264203>Did you get good grades in school? At first, but they tanked later. The final exams went pretty well though.
Since this arc started I've been having stress dreams about being unprepared for exams even though I've been out of education for 5 yearsThanks OP!
>>273264474what is this from?
>>273233556Kids these days
>>273275276That's horrible anon. It really does feel like fate was fighting against you. FWIW I've learned that your uni doesn't matter as much as you think it does in terms of job prospects (it still matters in terms of how much fun you have there, but...). Get your ADHD meds, anon. Even if you're not given one sort of meds, there's a lot of other kinds. Atomoxetine AKA Strattera is a non-stimulant which works very well. There's no way I'd be able to do the dishes without meds, let alone complete my degree and get a job. Also talk to your uni about mitigating circumstances. I was shocked to learn that there's a tonne of stuff my uni was willing to give me because of my ADHD which I only learned about in third year. If you have bad access to meds they'll be especially helpful. Also check if there's any ADHD charities near you which can help you out with various stuff.
>>273273300>I had the classic ADHD trajectory of getting amazing scores in the tests you do as a thirteen year old, amazing-but-not-quite-as-good-as-expected scores in the tests you do as a fifteen-sixteen year old, and (what felt like) abhorrent scores in the tests you do at the very end of your schooling (with hindsight getting BBC wasn't as world ending as I felt it was, but I was in a school for overachievers and everyone else got AAA).

Test chapters get me on the edge of my seat. Every AssClass chapter that had Class E's test scores as a cliffhanger engaged me just as much as Bleach did.

And that's it. Good luck, Mita-san.Do you challenge yourself?
>>273293332Thanks OP No. I only have three goals right now, and one I'm pretty confident I have in the bag, one is just a question of persistence, and the other a question of luck
>>273293356>and one I'm pretty confident I have in the bag, one is just a question of persistence, and the other a question of luck
