Read the manga recently. Was thoroughly mediocre. The ending especially was hot garbage.
I can't imagine a way that this won't be ruined. They already bombed with the Lupin crossover and everything about this series is rooted in the 80s. At best it's going to be sanitized to hell and ignored and at worst it'll be offensively bad.

I love Cat's Eye but I don't know why they keep remaking keep remaking it instead of just making a new show. The people that are nostalgic for it are ancient and the concept is probably not attractive to young people.
