And for one I seemingly forgot to post last thread, thank you to LI of CO for the beautiful card! Honestly, if you hadn't said so, I never would have guessed that it is the first time you've done papercraft cards! I had to do my fair share of cutting with xacto blades in college (luckily, mostly straight lines) and they were an absolute mess. Please don't think too poorly of yourself if you can. I'm always glad to find Sailor Jupiter enjoyers on here, since I feel like she is one of the least appreciated of the main five scouts. My draw to her was partially because the person who got me into Sailor Moon way back when liked Jupiter, but I felt like she managed to be the most believable of all the main 5 Scouts. Thinking back, its kinda funny how the main 5 all had some special power or draw to them except Jupiter who was just "strong willed girl" of the group. I think that if you give any of the titles on my list a try, Penguindrum might be one that you find the most enjoyment in. There is some very flowery prose and storytelling but, as far as Ikuhara series go, it is still very digestible. Even if you just stay on the surface level and don't pay any attention to the symbolism and threaded plotlines, it is still a comfy and heartwarming watch. I love the instax card too! It is super cute and I didn't know you could print on them! I think it might live in my wallet once the season is over and I'm due to take all my cards down.
Thank you so much again for the card, and I hope you have a merry Christmas as well!

Glad the package made it to you safely since I'm always nervous that they'll get lost somewhere along the way. Correct on the tied bag, and I should have the other delivery out to you tomorrow. Sorry again about the trouble, and I'm starting to think I could have just waited to send everything out together. Oh well, you live and you learn.
I was going to explain in the card that is coming in the next package, but I tried to get a lot of sweets that were somewhat local to me to send over. I'm not sure how widespread it is, but saltwater taffy is a type of candy that originated and is very popular along the Delmarva Peninsula, and Virginia peanuts are apparently a distinct type of peanut that is often grown in the central East Coast. The lady running the store gave me a whole speech about Virginia Peanuts, it was actually quite charming and was probably the only time I've ever learnt about peanuts. So sorry about them being out of date. I'm usually good at checking those things, but hopefully they're still good. And, hey, if you get the shits then you can just consider that another present from me :)
I'm glad you like the paper! It was something I did last year just to see how it'd end up, but I turned out to really like it, so I'll probably end up making one year after year. It is pretty simple and cheap for me too, since I just ask my guy to run them through for me when he's not busy. The perks of working in a print shop I suppose (there aren't very many)
>>274101792
Where are you that you need international stamps specifically? In the US at least, international stamps just have a higher value to them, and nothing is stopping you from using standard stamps for an international delivery (or international stamps for a domestic delivery) if you so wished. Perhaps it is different elsewhere, though.

Final initial-less update from me, you're all in possesion of tracking already and as long as everything moves smoothly things should arrive in time for christmas.
Gift for WIDE anon.
I managed to somehow fit everything in one box, that left little room for padding but I don't think anything bad will happen to it. Considering your proximity to the airport it should be possible for you to pick it up straight from the customs office in order to minimize the risks of it getting kicked to hell and getting earlier access to the snacks included. Everything is properly wrapped and the card contains no spoilers so no need to worry about that, I left 2 small things unwrapped just so you get a taste of what's coming. I couldn't manage to find a way for you to avoid customs taxes without making it a massive target for them to open, so I just included some money in your card, it's not the most delicate way to go about it but I still feel bad about making my previous anon pay and I'm not having it again.

Bohemianon whose card I'll post next
You card is on the way just like everyone else's, but you're getting 1 less candy because your card got so saturated with marker ink it got too heavy. Didn't have time for all the gags planned but expect kino and regret, more coming up next.

No trouble at all homie, certainly can't complain about the snacks getting to me earlier anyway. I think the only time I've heard of saltwater taffy otherwise was an episode of fucking Jimmy Neutron, they definitely got a unique aftertaste. Lore drops about things like peanuts are the type of interactions I hope for anytime I leave home lmao. I doubt they'll bother my stomach though, I used to live off of free expired food and Taco Bell big boxes and I'm already like halfway through them. Good Christmas cards is perhaps the best job perk one could have.

Hey JB from CR sorry for the late post ,but I was mostly away from home.
Love the smug homu and the Tenkou.I haven't watched S4 at all yet but I remember him from S3 and after the fate/madoka collabs and the nendos nothing seems off the table for the puppets so yea. A fucking minigun. Why not. I never watch shows with /a/ and when I tried with the new gatari seasons the threads were terrible so I'll keep doing the usual of waiting until a show ends and binging it, not like I watch anything new that isn't a sequel anyways.
The Dia sketch inside was top cute but you'll soon meet with it's consequences. I'm not sorry at all.
>Okitegami Kyouko live action.
I actually have. Kinda. I very recently read the first 3 volumes of her LN before managing to stop myself and at the same time also started watching some old dorama so the inevitable happened. I only got through half of the first episode before my "this is absolutely nothing like the original" 'tism made me shut it off, but I tried.
But now you've also read some of Nisio's works haven't you? The last manga on my list is an adaptation of a novel he wrote (you did watch/read everything I listed right anon? It was merely a handful of shows). He claims it's a true story -an "incident" as he calls it- but you can choose how you interpret it, I wish to believe.
Thanks a lot for the snacks and the jizzless cookies (not pictured as they disappeared under very bizarre circumstances), what are the proportions for the recipe? I'm guessing it's normal cookies and you shift some macha with the flour while adding the "nut" before baking?
Also loved the egg keychain! I'll keep it on my desk with the other acrylics so it doesn't get more scratches than the ass of a persian taxi driver that doesn't know what a bidet is, as is the fate of all acrylic keychains.
Thanks again for everything anon! Looking forward to your card reaching you, really hope you like it!

Thank you for your great Christmas Card and the tasty snacks! Your drawings are great. Santa Misato is really nice; I like that pose and wink. Tonakai-Louise is really cute as well, I like her coat and horns(in my opinion; as you noted Louise would probably want to have a word with you).
I'm also happy that you still remember the card I've sent you - according to my archives it was 2020.

Dear ST from TX
thank you for your great Christmas Card! The angry Louise you drew looks really cute (I hope she doesn't whip too hard though), so does the small Louise inside.
I understand your surprise about Asuka, but I simply love Misato's character and nature.
It's quite a pity that you didn't enjoy ZnT because of the soundmixing. Maybe it's because I've watched it so many times already, but the sound in the show seems normal to me. Have you tried different releases? Also, it is an older show by now, so especially when voices go into the higher ranges it can sound rawer compared to today.
The concept sheets you included are really interesting. So many cute designs that I wish I could draw! I really appreciate the effort. Writing the greetings in Futhark is a nice touch as well.
I hope you are enjoying the season so far, and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Part 1:
Dear ARP from Spain
Thank you for this entire bundle of Christmas Cards!
Let's start with the happy card. I really like your drawing of Louise! She has a very cute smile (and belly button). And don't worry, the first (drunk) card I got from you a few years ago was also really sweet! Likewise, I am glad that you remembered my cards and even the envelopes (your envelope also had a cute eva sticker).
I was really impressed when I saw your schizo comic, drawing all of that must have been quite some work. I could also feel myself getting more depressed as I read through it. From your explanation I understand that it is your view on Eva and EoE from the angle of depression. I cannot judge that, but from my own experience I can tell you that during my first watch I also had a view on Eva that it dwindles into hopelessness, but during the years this changed. I realized that it conveys in fact a very hopeful message, that Shinji rejects the breakdown of the human souls and them combining into one angel, and he also gets to understand other people, especially his father, better.
I am trying to understand the details of the EoE card - I think it is corresponding to the schizo comic. The curse of Balal, the blue giant from Haruhi and Ea, as well as the characters being present. The numbers may be related to the other Steins Gate reference. When I read the sign and "Ayucchi Modelshop" I also thought that this may be breaking the 4th wall to an anime shop?
>>
>>274118983
Part 2:
The backside of the card with the numbers also looks like a divergence meter, but I have no idea about the meaning. The Alpha may refer to the alpha attractor field, but the world lines only range up to 0.999999α, while the preceding 2 belongs to the gamma attractor field. Should I get assigned to you again, I will take you up on the offer of explaining them.
To wrap this up, I really enjoy your drawings and cards, and I didn't expect this when I first opened the envelope. I hope that this helps you to cheer up a bit, or maybe get a more positive view on everything. I sincerely hope that /ss/ and /a/ will give your cute waifu Nagato Yuki-chan and you many great things to enjoy (the Disappearance rewatch is coming close, for example), and that you will have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year as well!

Oh well, I knew I was taking a gamble, at least you recognized him from S3 and you have something to look forward to! I can totally understand, plenty of my favorites have terrible airing threads but TBF is one of the rare exceptions, probably thanks to how niche it is. As the other anon alluded to, part of the joke is that Crunchyroll didn't pick up S4 so we're mostly stuck with crowdsourced anon speedsubs plastered over chink hardsubs. It's all very soulful.

Third, if I ever get you as a card anon (again) I'll give you the full explanation about everything. Be ready for that! And finally, thanks a lot for your kind words, I'm glad that you liked everything. Have a wonderful time and a Merry Christmas!

I'm happy you like it, anon! I think your card ended up being my favorite this year.
With regard to the sound mixing thing, that wasn't so much the issue as the show just not being super up my alley, so some of the more minor technical aspects stuck out a bit. And yeah, that sort of raw sound booth audio is something that I feel like I've only ever really noticed from stuff made around the early and mid 2000's.
Also I'm glad you liked the extra doodles. Merry Christmas to you too!

I somehow missed your posts last thread, but this is SW from NY again. I'm surprised they didn't just leave it at the front of the building, they often do that when no apartment number is specified. I would contact the santas and wait till xmas to unwrap it to see JUST what it is. Sometimes anons order from local shops and markups can be pretty steep/go all in on a rare piece of merch for a very niche series. I do remember one anon mailing a miku figure out and some sweets and the receiver being VERY vocally pissy about it and the gifter coming forward to say he’d been laid off, had a snowball of bad financial issues and wanted to at least send something. It could be multiple issues…or an anon being a dick.
>>
>>274124955
I don't understand being embarrassed to the point of hiding a fun little interest/event from family that you're close to. Just be yourself, unironically.

NTA, but being family does not automatically preclude people from being ignorant or judgmental.
Not sure how it'd go over with mine. Immediate family wouldn't be an issue in my case, I think. But I wouldn't presume to know anon's circumstances
>>
>>274126428
Of course some people have really shitty family/parents, but I think this usually is a matter of embarrassment. In most (healthy) cases they'd be happy that you involve them in your interests even if they don't truly get it. It really is nice to be able to own these things and to be open about them.

>>
>>274148515
There's a ton of political autism surrounding the strike, basically the government is dying in real time and are frozen out of tabling legislation because they're so corrupt, so they're using a labour board backdoor to mandate a 6 month pause. This isn't the same thing as back-to-work legislation, so the union might have cause to sue the government for illegally breaking the strike. How far that goes remains to be seen, the workers have gone a month on minimal strike wages and are now going to get a shit load of overtime hours to work the backlog.

But whatever the case, even if they start work again tomorrow it's going to take weeks just to clear their current backlog much less get new mail circulating around. Your mail probably got denied because they know that there's a huge bottleneck right now.

Dear Usagi from UK
Thank you so much for the card! Your drawings are great, I really appreciate the Christmas Kino and the cute Seiichiro drawing. Your handwriting is really nice too!
I've been to the UK a couple times for extended periods of time. We like making fun of the British a lot, but honestly I think the UK is a very nice, beautiful country with good food and pleasant people. I especially love the small medieval-ish towns in the countryside like York. The big cities aren't great, Londoners are about as pleasant as Parisians, which isn't very much (just generally speaking, of course).
We do celebrate on the 24th, we usually have a big dinner with our entire families, and on the 25th we open up our gifts with just our close relatives. It obviously depends on the family though.
Fortunately I haven't caught gout just yet but I might after eating all those Cadbury sweets you got me!
Unfortunately, I did not watch Sailor Moon growing up. I was more the type of kid who watched shounen shows (dragon ball, pokemon).
In truth, I never got around to watching the vast majority of the shows you mentioned, unfortunately, I did like some of them though! Well, I'm sure my card to you explained all of that pretty well, probably.
My personal favorite from this year... I guess I'll have to go with Konosuba season 3. I'm a longtime fan of the series and it was nice to see a quality sequel. I mostly read a ton of manga this year though, I'm not too up-to-date on anime.
I haven't heard of Love Bullet, Marmalade Boy or Red River! But I just checked out their first chapters, they seem pretty nice. Love Bullet in particular seems like something I'd enjoy, since I'm not a massive fan of Shoujo manga.

I feel pretty bad for making such simple card when you made this masterpiece. Hopefully my gifts and snacks are good enough to make up for it!

I talked with UPS on the phone today. They want your phone number and email address to get in touch with you. I forwarded the invoice documents for your cards to santa; hopefully santa can give you those. I suggest you try calling UPS directly to work out what's going on once santas forward you tracking info. Alternatively you can relay email and phone number to me (JL of WI) via santas and I can talk to UPS again, but this would probably be slower.

Bros.... I am getting kinda worried. This year I moved to new place, nice location, literally in the middle of city. But enterance to my apartment is behind 3 fucking gates. So I had issues with letters/parcels.
So I tried to be smart and start using nearby parcel motel, it was working just fine. But for the past 2 weeks there is no free space there ;_; Last parcel I order from Amazon has issue getting there. I asked my Santa to deliver there and now I am worried.

Hey anon, ARP here. What a weird situation, I received stuff from USPS on previous years and they never asked for a phone number or an e-mail. Anyway. I made a throwaway e-mail account (yurikabestgirl@gmail.com) you can send the tracking for your card and anything else here, it will be faster this way. Let's see if we can solve this situation as soon as possible.

Cute Erika! I am doing well this season and hope you are too. I'll see if I can find some glühwein if can this weekend. Erika is good choice, and you are right to think that I may like Darjeeling because I do, but in my opinion Nonna is top guppie. She's got: a great voice, admirable loyalty to her friends, and huge tits. What's not to like? I'm waiting before resuming Re:Zero for a bit. After watching Frieren and Mushoku Tensei, I'm going to take a break from fantasy before I can stomach Subaru being, well, Subaru. I don't know how the Japanese do it, but they are so good at making worlds where the main character is the least interesting part, and Re:Zero is a particularly egregious case of that. Thanks again and Merry Christmas!

THANK YOU SO MUCH CB of GA
This is so fantastic I can barely contain myself. I've been blessed by woodprinter anon.
I absolutely love the comfy Kyoko and the DC rockband is so nice that I need to frame it for display year round.
Not only did you accept my silly request, you went beyond and drew a trio of very cute pokemon, very lovely. I was surprised by the Ogerpon love too, the first I've seen someone favorite the Mask Pokemon!
My Christmas season have been going wonderfully now that I've gotten such a beautiful card, thank you!
Sorry that I've been growing through a classics anime kick lately, I've just finished out Leiji's classic trio of television anime, strong stuff. Of modern shows I've watched recently, I have also enjoyed Akiba Maid War, OddTaxi, PingPong, Mob Psycho 100 and One Punch Man. A bit genre stagnant there I admit, what do you suggest I should check out? You should definitely finish up Maison Ikkoku, it's such a sweet little story.
All the love, have a very Merry Christmas and thank you very very very much!
>>
>>274152955
I'm glad it reached you, otherwise it would have been lost forever lol. Nonna, I see, I should have guessed from the Darkness mention that you like the enormous breasts. Also a solid choice.
>I don't know how the Japanese do it, but they are so good at making worlds where the main character is the least interesting part
Yeah I guess so. And after all the "character development" in S2 I can't say much has changed. On the other hand this series throws so many characters around it's hard to remember who's who
>The humor in the Lakoscht joke is lost on me but I'm sure it's quite clever

I don't follow the Pokemon community much, is Ogerpon really not that popular? It was so cute, it's the only reason I bought the DLC at all.
Nothing wrong with classic anime, but for a recommendation for something recent, I've really been enjoying Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku. It's a cute little romance manga without misunderstandings and love triangles, and its getting an anime next year.
I'm glad that you enjoyed the card, and I hope you have a great Christmas!

>>
>>274159055
>>274159201
Just change a part of the artwork, like the clothes the character is wearing, or their expression, or their hand position. No one will think you traced it then.
>>

i trace poses so the anatomy isnt fucked up and then draw the character onto that freehand
>>
>>274159236

>>
>>274159236
I'll replace a small part of the original so it looks more personalized. I'm not skilled enough to draw the characters doing anything I want so picking a scene and very slightly altering it works out well.
>>
>>274159236
It may still be just some Frankenstein thing. Maybe I should always put the eyes a bit too close together on purpose so that it looks goofy. If the rest is top notch it might still seem like I can draw

Like this Anon >>274159164 said, keep participating /ss/. Your drawing will improve in long term. My skills went from pic related to this >>274125532 in 6 years. Heck this year it is my first time I say I'm satisfied with my Art. Of course you can also participate in Draw threads anywhere on this site. This is what it helped me to improve a lot, because it adds a new challenge with every requests I do. Also a bit of art foundation like shapes and forms, perspective, color theory and composition helped me a lot.
If you have (multiple) artist you like, follow them, look at their art and ask yourself why you like this artist in the first place and maybe try to copy it. It's okay to trace it as long you understand the foundations behind it and not to say "I did it". It is a steep hill to climb with full of frustration, to develop drawing skills, but will grow overtime.
>>
>>274160369
but in 6 years I'll be 36
haha, coincidentally 2018 was when I made an attempt to get into drawing as well and participated in some draw threads. but I always spent like 8 hours on a "full artwork" just to realize after a night's sleep it looked like shit, instead of praticing the basics like a good boy. couldn't bear the frustration of that.

Drawing is less of age issue, it's just a really heavy time commitment for a passion that might or might not work for you, if you don't have clear goals for it. AI will challenge it even further, as it will create ""Masterpieces/Perfection"" one day. I see insecure "artists" giving up or wasting their time hating it instead useing it for drawing, because they think AI will make 100x times better and needs to be destroyed which is impossible now. Also as someone with a ADHD brain, I don't practise art. Too boring for my brain. I just do full drawings nonstop, while also doing my basics. I fail a lot doing it and it is what frustrates me the most thinking I waste my time with it, but actually learning a lot from it. Not everything has to be perfect in first try, I need thousands tries to get my art in a acceptable state. This is what's make art fun for me.
>>
Why does everyone think they have fucking ADHD nowadays
>>
>>274162032
the internet and social media have unironically ruined a lot of people.
>>
>>274161992
>I don't practice, I just do it a lot and also fundamentals
what do you think practice is, anon
>>
>>274161992
Yeah AI will frustrate a lot of peoples ambitions. But for some others it may even be beneficial. It takes the pressure out you know. When you start now, you'll know from the start that you'll only ever do this for your own amusement. No point in constantly comparing yourself when everyone gets blown out of the water in the same way anyway. It becomes less of "what is possible" and more of "what can I do". Maybe. Just 3:37 AM thoughts. Maybe I'll give it another shot one day.
>>
>>274162299
Oh man I really am getting more retarded at 3:30AM.
>>
>>274158910
To level up your tracing game I suggest looking up a video on how to draw the character and just follow what the artist is doing, you'll get a decent drawing plus since you're naturally shit at drawing you add your own flair to the drawing. For example, one character I drew is very muscular but I made his neck too long and it looks like a penis even when following the video.

RL of WA sorry for the blueballing; this weekend ended up being pretty busy.
I seriously love the card, anon; I am always very happy to see Aria-themed cards. I swear everybody has sharper x-acto knives than me to get such clean cuts. The doodles on the inside are adorable, too.
I'm very glad to hear we feel the same way about long wishlists! Why participate if you don't want to read an /a/non's 20-page thesis about some forgettable seasonal anime from 12 years ago?
Warms my heart to hear people still enjoying Slayers for the first time. There's just something about it that makes almost all the jokes land, where a typical >Japanese comedy would otherwise fail. Lina is such a great character.
And yeah, you're pretty spot on with Gosick; an extremely cute Victorique, an excellent setting, and asspulls for days. I've actually had Shadows House recommended to me once before, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet; I'll definitely have to move it up the list now.

Two cards came in the mail today, but I didn't get the time to post them until now.
First, SA from Austria, we meet again! Thank you for your card, it's even cuter than the card you sent me last year. I always love the backgrounds you choose. From your message I get the impression that you're a much bigger fan of Eva than I am, and your enthusiasm really shined through. I'm glad you like the series so much! Honestly, I think Purple is a good character, but I love tsunderes so I have to be in Team Red by default.
Thanks again, and Happy Holidays!

And the second card is from CB of GA. Thank you so much, your wood carving looks phenomenal! You even included all the detailed panel linings; it looks exactly like my Tallgeese plamo! I like the paper you wrote your message on too, it's very cute. I'm... ambivalent regarding the new Gundam. I'm more of a fan of Super Robot shows, so unless GQuuuuuuX reaches the SR-esque levels of ridiculousness that Gundam Wing did, I probably won't enjoy it much. I like the character designs, at least.
I was assigned to you too, by the way. From the stamp on your envelope, it looks like we both mailed our cards on the same day, so my card should be reaching you soon too. It's not going to be an artistic masterpiece like yours, but I hope you like it regardless!

>Ian Bostridge and Der Zwerg mentioned

Absolutely based.

Bostridge's version is the one CL put in their original music CD version but the pianist is Julian Drake. Presumably it's a track Warner already had in their archives.

So a few years back I basically shotgunned a whole bunched of Schubert's lieder and not gonna lie after the first few dozen tracks and not being able to understand German, they kinda blended together but I distinctly remember "Der Zwerg" and "Der Wanderer" being the standout tracks. I'm floored that's a specific track you managed to pull of out the billion song settings Schu managed to put out.

Also, I love "Gretchen am Spinnrade" and ""Der Tod und das Mädchen" because I'm a basic bitch. "Erlkonig" and "Die Forelle" would still my absolute favorite lieds because they're really good and on the opposite end of the mood settings, trout is so light and funny. Which reminds me I forgot to recommend episode 13, which everyone should watch at least once, if only they could "what the fuck".

Sorry it took this long to get specifically track down and reply to this post. I did remember to "reply to der zwerg anon" but I've just been so sick and fatigued this past month and a half. :( If you still want to personally hand over your card, I'm game, though. I promise I'm not contagious. Thanks for reading my autistic long list all the way through. Have a merry christmas in any case!

Anon this post was from fifty thousand billion years ago-
>spoiler
Never mind, I'm sorry to hear you were sick. Are you feeling any better now? Please don't overwork yourself!
I'm 12eps in while I'm juggling my other shows as well. A bit amazing that Bostridge came up again, I thought they'd go with a native German speaker, I don't know how famous he is. I also don't precisely remember how I came across Der Zwerg specifically, either I picked one at random or that was one of the few that stood out to me in terms of both music and plot. Erlkonig and Der Zwerg are the only ones I know very well, but I'll check the other ones out and play them while I work on your card. I'll let you know my thoughts on them in the thread, or in the card or maybe even in person because I'm definitely down to listen to more of his lieds. I did a lil peek out of curiosity and excitement, but I'm a bit disappointed in what I heard for CL's rendition of Erlkonig. Maybe it hits different during the actual episode, but I'm not that optimistic... but episode 13 is literally the next one I have to watch, so I'm excited for that however. Beethoven really carries the show but the rest of the cast is great as well. Minus Sousuke, I could really do with less of him... Meanwhile your favourite Schubert is unsurprisingly fun, however. I would have been a bit annoyed if it took half a season to finally meet him, but it was nice to say hello and goodbye to him early, then finally have him join the cast. Although I don't know/remember enough of music history to get all the references, I thought Schubert was fond of Mozart irl? I just assumed it was a subversion of expectations, but we'll see. Hoping to read up on music history more after the show.
I'm interested to see where things are going with Bach (especially now that he can talk) it's hard to decide between him and Beethoven who my favourite composer is.
Cont.

Thank you for tracking me down though, I was a bit worried and honestly felt a bit bad that you never responded to my posts, I didn't know you were unwell. Considering my wishlist was 1900 words, it was honestly a very fun read, your passion/autism for your shows/stuff, and I felt bad that I didn't at least organize my essay into paragraphs in a separate document. I'll probably opt to hand-deliver even if I didn't want to meet you, I'd have no idea when it would even arrive, and I'd save whatever neet savings it would have cost to send something that'd be stuck in transit for six years. I'll try to get it done this week, drop me an email at cc_cheeseknight@proton.me if you're worried Santas might take a while to forward information. You may or may not have also missed a meet-up.

I had a big tin of Allsorts licorice (pink, yellow, all sorts of pretty colours) gifted to me once, and I was obligated to give it a try. Turns out if you force yourself to keep snacking on something, you acquire a taste. Although it was still rather difficult to have the pure-black ones. Next time I get gifted licorice, I'll acquire the taste of the pure ankoku ones just for you, anon.

>Mozart

Anon, you don't know how much bitching I did back in the day when this was airing with regards to music history and Schubert. Keep in mind I knew jackshit about classical music at this point but Schubert being a Mozart hater is something the show basically made up, which is weird (honestly, bad) because that's half of his personality.

I still love the show's arrangement of Erlkonig, gomen. I'd explain but I'm phoneposting, need to be somewhere, and the thread's about to die. It's good to hear from you! I'm sorry for the inconvenience my Santa and card anons aren't getting a gift/cards in time for christmas, which I feel guilty about. sorry for ruining your holidays.

>ouzo
I've never had this, but it sounds tasty. I think I'll get a bottle.
>>
>>274177841
I mean, Mozart being a bit of an annoying zany shitlord is (presumably) what the show made up as well (liking poop and fart jokes was definitely real iirc) so it's not the most unforgivable thing, although it does seem like they're pointing to something about Schubert's actual life whenever he gets upset about that.
>weird (honestly, bad) because that's half of his personality
I thought Schubert was your favourite though? Is it his dedication and fanboying for Beethoven? Or just his role as the gag character often getting bullied by fate?
>>>phoneposting

I forgot about this! I do remember he bullied some soprano he didn't like by composing it to make her physical habit cause her to bob her neck in a very silly way, that and other stuff of Mozart getting back at other people. Whereas for Beethoven I only recall that he was a bit temperamental and hard to deal with, can't recall any other composers' personalities but I think I'm willing to forgive basically all of them. Unless Bach ate a child, or something.

I haven't been grinched but I have anti-grinched a couple years ago. Once the Santas determine the total number of people who have been grinched (a couple days after New Year's, usually), I emailed them about antigrinching. They try to assign you an anon who was in roughly the same bracket... and then you send them a gift. It's a lot less controlled compared to regular /ss/. There was no deadline, and I'm pretty sure there was no tracking requirement either (I still got one for my anon though).
