The real question now is where will S2 end, because the globalists' arc is quite extensive if you consider it from the first encounter/fight with Vamola until the end of the big fight and I dont think they can fit it in 12-13 episodes, so either the Vamola part takes a good part of s2 to make s3 cover the rest of the arc or it only takes 2 or 3 episodes (like Jiji in S1) and opens the chance of the Globalist arc to be 24 episodes long or potentially being a two-season arc.

This was probably the most mediocre introduction to a shonen anime I've ever seen. Going against the usual shonen tropes by having a protagonist duo without a big overarching goal made the show so far feel like a succession of side quests rather than a big adventure. My biggest gripe is if you ask people about the appeal of DDD they will tell you it's an entertaining, really goofy, really cartoon network-esque kind of shonen and yet if you ask them what is the best episode this season they will tell you episode7, the least DDD episode out of all DDD episodes, the episode that is gritty, extremely down to earth and tragic, almost dark I'd say. Tone shift is a really difficult thing to handle in writing but I don't think it was done right here, going from finding the hero's cock and balls to the tragic life of a single mom raising her child ending in her death and going back to finding the balls is really REALLY jarring if you're not a shonen monkey retard.The most 6/10 I've seen this year, can't believe there was Shin Godzilla at one point and it had 3 minutes of screen time at most.
