To be honest, it's simultaneously much worse and much better than I expected. The protagonist being a loser is actually somewhat well written and emotionally gripping rather than to just be relatable to complete losers having their self-insert and I kind of like that it's realistic in that not everyone bullies the protagonist and it's just a one trio, who are also each unique and have their own level of bullying with one of them clearly having no limits and the other two thinking it goes too far but sort of go along with it as well and don't stop it either. It does feel like everyone is unique and realistic rather than simple black and white characters.I also like how it seems to be setting up that the love interest isn't immediately head over heels for the protagonist in the first episode and their relationship will probably actually realistically develop.But I hate it by association because it feels like something virgins would like.
