There's usually only ever one form of government for every nation (of which there's only a handful anyway); natural disasters, bad weather streaks, widespread disease (plagues), famine and others are never addressed; cultures (outside of elves hug trees and dwarves drink beer) don't exist and then get overwritten to be Japanese-sugoi and is immediately accepted and loved; there's no distinct holidays or festivals stemming from historical events before the story started as well as usually no mention of far-off history at all (besides le ancient super advanced civilization); domestication is just 'Earth has these so isekai does too'; technical advances are never attributed to anyone specific; information somehow travels at the speed of instant despite no mention of how with all information always being completely accurate; and villains are just comically villainous.Sorry, had to get that off my chest. Been on an actual history stint lately it there's just so much detail to it. Now I can toss this feeling aside along with my wanting of non-generic protagonists and continue to read slop.
