>>275049141Yes. Yokota originally had a short 3 chapter story published in in WSJ called Koganeiro which is about a quartet of high schoolers enjoying their last little bit of "youth". The dance sport club's advisor in this series is one of the MCs from Koganeiro who's now an adult, her husband (also a supporting character in this series) is one of the other MCs from that story. He's also a soccer coach and Yokota's next series after this (Shudan) is about the youth team he coaches.After Shudan got axed that basically seemed to be the end of it and his next/current series (The Story of a Dumb Prefect and a JK with an Inappropriate Skirt Length) seemed to just be its own thing since there were no overt connections to his other stuff, it took place in Tokyo instead of Hamamatsu like previous three series and its a completely different publisher instead of Shueisha. Then the cultural festival arc had them bring in a pair of professional dancers to help out their prom which turned out to be one of the rival teams from Sesuji but that was a sort of one page blink and you'll miss it cameo. The most recently translated Dumb Prefect chapter is more explicit showing that Ibuchi is friends with one of the MCs from Shudan and another of Shudan's MCs is Nadeshiko's cousins.So basically in order it goes Koganeiro —> Sesuji wo Pin! —> Shudan! —> Dumb Prefect.
Also that said, you don't actually need to read all of them if you don't want to. Sesuji doesn't become confusing if you don't know that Michiru and Tatsuya are from Koganeiro but it is a little cooler seeing these characters popping up in his other stories.

>>275129287It's a ten year old series that got axed after two years and probably spent most of that on the brink of cancellation (the cultural festival arc feels like it was written in a satisfying way just in case). Viz didn't have Mangaplus at the time either. They did translate the first three chapters of Shudan as part of a program they had called Jump Start where they'd do that and pick a series up if it got interest. The fact it didn't and then Shudan getting axed after a few volumes should tell you everything.It's a series that would have definitely gotten a better chance in something like Champion or whatever and the fact his current series (in Kodansha's Shonen Sirius) has run longer than Sesuji and Shudan combined backs that up. The only work of his that's ever gotten officially licensed is Destroy All Humans and that's probably because "MTG manga" is something that possibly has broader appeal than (well written) spokon or romcoms that don't have massive internet popularity already. Dumb Prefect might get picked up some day but his art style isn't geared towards coomers (despite drawing nice girls) and/or doesn't have Literally Me waifus as the female lead. Not saying he's some master or genius, he just knows how to write solid stories with well done characters that are also genuinely funny or moving or whatever he's going for in a particular chapter. Like Tsuchiya here is a goofy dweeb and maybe a little over the top but I think if you were a goofy dweeb he's very relatable because he's still grounded instead of being a cartoonish retard.
