jiro's switching from trad to digital is really transparent in this manga
>>275095669>>275095691They're taking an armed high school girl breaking through their rooftop shed like it's nothing. Or maybe that's just what happens when you play Mahjong.
is simone a good girl?
you know, i believe this series is the best chance for Matsumoto have his big jump to anime
>>275096414Bedside chat with a man she's meeting for the first time, Simon sure is daring!

Where I can read the raws
This is modern Matsumoto art? Ugh. Digital didn't do him any good, it all looks so flat.
>>275097425Thanks OP. Now gotta play the waiting game.
The digital plugins really stand out like a sore thumb, Matsumoto doesn't even draw his own mahjong tiles anymoreLazy
>>275089727I won't even bother in trying to protect that smile.
>>275098806I certainly don't like it one bit. I just hope this means he can keep going for longer.
>>275098806Many such cases.
>>275094927Their dreams are so bright
>>275096020The best
>>275094204Should just toss a grenade in there.
>>275097425Thank you for posting.
>>275098806Yeah, the backgrounds really suffer here. I hope his style doesn't become as sterile as Kishiro's did.
>>275097425>>275097425Thanks man
>>275098806>Digital didn't do him any goodAnon, he's been drawing digitally to various degree for twenty five years, which is basically his entire career.
>>275107096I could have SWORN I read somewhere that Beautiful Place is made without any assistants, which might be why the style looks so simplified compared to his previous titles (gotta get chapters in by the deadlines), but I may have dreamed that.
I WANT TO FUCK SIMONE
>>275107215Beautiful Place IS done with assistant(s). What happened is:1. After all these years, he finally decided to go full digital. While he's no stranger to digital, more often than not, ditching the analog work out of the process leads to artists getting carried away with laziness in their art to various degree. For example, see Nihei and how his lineart gradually degraded after he went full digital, which eventually led to him basically drawing without pen pressure.2. He also decided to implement 3D in his work, for some reason. Learning a brand new tool, and something as complex as 3D modeling on top of that, because you thought it *could* make your work easier is a rookie mistake, see Nihei again. Nihei was smart enough to drop the idea, but easy access to 3D asset store we've got these days must have made Jiro double down and go full retard instead. Beautiful Place started about half a year after Ichigeki ended, so realistically, he only had like four months to learn whatever 3D software he uses. I imagine he now has much less time to simply draw due to all that, which is ironic, to say the least.
>>275088610Bump
>>275098806Why did he even turn to digital? Why do they even go to digital if their art suffers so badly from it?
>>275112968It's cheaper for one. Editors love it.
Gawain where is the fucking daily gunsmith
>>275117236Pray for him.
