The cats were invincible until Usagi asspulled the burgers and Charmingman wasn't a good fighter. Bobby Jean was good, but everyone had their hands full defending themselves and the win came down to Jodio alone.

But let's not forget it also had mediocre or even bad ones (Clash/Talking Head fight). The adaptation really wasn't as great as people make it out to be.
