you wouldn't watch forgotten anime from decades ago with <50k members on mal so why do you follow currently airing anime that will obviously get forgotten the same way in a few months/years?
>>275192010>you wouldn't watch forgotten anime from decades ago with <50k members on malwhy are you assuming? why would I look at malcount? I'd watch it if I felt like it.
>>275192010what the fuck are you talking about? who the fuck looks at the social shit on mal??
>>275192010>anime looks neat>watch itIt's that simple, zoomer-kun.

>>275192010>you wouldn't watch forgotten anime from decades agoLiterally all I watch, zoomerino>malgo back and stay there
>>275192976>Literally all I watch, zoomerinonta but go back
>>275192010I can't imaging basing what media I enjoy based on a third party metric.
>>275192320What about the effect that anime will have on your social credit score (MAL)?
>>275192010>vtumor>mal
>>275192010No matter the medium, people watch current shit because everyone else does. It's to be part of the discussion. You can watch classics and shows considered masterpieces but they've been discussed to death. That's the case even on /a/. People will read manga that's complete schlock and watch anime that will be forgotten the day after the last episode airs to engage with others that are doing the same. This isn't to say you can't or shouldn't read/watch older series but you're doing that out of intrinsic enjoyment, not because it's popular.
