Komi-san will be remembered as the epitome of why dragging romcoms never works. Literally everything good about the story eventually ends up turning into shit, from the artstyle to the characters to the comedy to the fucking everything. Even the little things like the delusion chapters ends up becoming slop shit once it becomes some kinda retarded cult instead of just boys daydreaming.Everyone who'll miss the series won't miss it for what it is now, they miss it for what it used to be.

This no longer holds up now but there used to be a long period where the chuunibyou girl was like significantly more beloved than komi herself to readers right after her introduction and the mangaka had to save face by making her take the lesbian route.
There is also that Korean artist who makes absolutely cursed porn art of Komi out of sheer butthurt.
