The plot developed mostly as we thought: Elf Island led to an alliance with Skully, which led his right hand man to betray him and the kingdom to become Void. Guts and his team are travelling back to Midland to fuck up Griffith. I hated the short flashback arc about Guts and the fairy when it was coming out but when I reread it it might be some of the best stuff in the series.
