It was trying a bit too hard but still very good anime
When I watched Sonny boy in 2021 I thought the ending was badly done attempt of moralizing.Now I think it's a blackpill of sorts. Mc's school life was full of magical adventure and post-graduation only life of waging awaits him with no way out.

the mangaka who did the character designs for this is a local legend here. his art is everywhere, signed sketches in random ramen shops and shit.his favourite izekaya always has a couple nerds hoping to run into him. he painted a girl on the door.

>>275220540I really like it. I thought it peaked in episode 6 or whatever with the cube ship thing they tried to use to escape. Latter episodes were still good though and I thought the ending was good too. I loved the colors and animation/backgrounds. 8.5/10 over all.
