Been following the Kinnikuman storytime for a while and it really shows Ikemoto's problem.A manga having questionable or bad art doesn't really matter if it has no soul put into it, within every page of Boruto it shows that Ikemoto just views this as a job rather than something he likes.

Sumire’s role will probably be teaching Kawaki that he doesn’t have to live in absolution. She will likely mediate between him and Amado next chapter. We can assume Kawaki will implant the karma and the clone will be dormant until the latter part of the story where the karma process is complete and Akebi finally awakes. To which she could reveal she is Kawaki’s mother and further plot ensues. Another possibility is Sumire somehow ends up with the karma, I do miss the ACKening theory but I digress. A third possibility is the karma flat out doesn’t work (given that Akebi afaik doesn’t have an living consciousness like Momoshiki) but given how hard the dialogue is pushing it like how the story hyped up Code getting his limiters removed it’s basically a sure thing she’s coming out an ayy. There’s 2 loopholes however. Delta technically has Akebi’s memories so she would know if Kawaki was her son. It’s possible she’s withholding that info but that’s a big can of worms to keep to herself as bitchy as she is. The second is what is Kawaki’s requisite for being an ayy? We know from Momoshiki that karma technically makes someone wholly Otsutsuki even if they don’t look the part. So does Akebi need white skins and horns for Kawaki to be set on killing her or will he kill her over a technicality even though she looks completely human? Questions to be answered later I suppose.

Once said mysteries are elaborated upon that's it, it's a straight shot through to the finish line because it's actually a really small, simple, straightforward story. The more TBV 'progresses' the more and more convinced I am of that anon being correct. Of what we have so far I really think the entirety of TBV could be compressed into a single movie. Ikemoto is just dragging things out to make money and is probably writing by the seat of his pants. I'm glad we got the France interview for letting us know definitively that Ikemoto is the writer (and getting little supervision) because it was a strong signal that we shouldn't be expecting very much. The schizocanon only worked so long as we thought all the media was connected and that the story was well planned and likely to have depth, now we know that isn't the case.
