So we can all agree that this is a masterpiece, right?Good, I'm glad we're in agreement.
>>275239986You can't hide your mistake.But have this anyways:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JcoEUbSsB4
>>275240018You got me :)Long live Tima.
>>275239986I didn't like it. It insists upon itself.
Anyway, this movie has some of the best art direction in any animated film I've seen. Even the CGI still holds up.It really is an amazing spectacle of animation.
>>275240206Deservedly so.
>>275239986The ending was shit.
>>275240229You're gonna have to elaborate.

Designs and animation were amazing but the story didn't fully grab me. I liked the manga better
>>275239986I think so but its been 20+ years since i watched it, I honestly dont really remember.
>>275239986It was amazing until I realized it was yet another anime movie that had no emotional impact because of its horrid pacing and lack of momentum. It's still the third best directed Rintaro anime though, and generally a treat just to watch it go. Tima a cute.
>>275239986It looked beautiful but it felt like a story that should've been at least half an hour longer
>>275242172>no emotional impact because of its horrid pacing and lack of momentumCan you explain? Maybe I'm autistic, but I didn't get that sense at all. Are you referring to the scene in the snow where Tima and Kenichi are taken away from each other?
>>275239986It's shit. One of the worst "adaptations".
>>275239986I CANT STOP LOOOOOVING YOUUUI’ve made up my miiindTo live in MIIISERYYyyyOf a lonesome tiiiiime
>>275239986I didn't really feel it when I was younger
>>275242664I didnt have a problem with that scene if I remember it correctly, it's more so the climax and the build up to it. They needed much more deliberate pacing in the second half to pull it off, or at the very least a longer run time. I dunno, I might be the autistic one because I didnt really feel anything from the last stretch of the film.
>>275242769I need to watch it again, with the spic dub.
>>275242939Ah, fair enough. I understand if people felt that Tima and Kenichi needed more character development together. Maybe some more dialogue?Aside from that, I thought their character arc was fine.
>>275239986No
>>275239986Neat, when was the last time we all agreed on anything?
>>275239986I really liked it as a kid but as an adult I think is just ok.
>>275245892You'll watch it again when you're an older adult, and you'll agree with the way you felt when you were a kid.
>>275239986Watched this with mom back in the day and she couldn't understand it at all. Oh how I miss ye
