What's the difference between romance manga/LNs for women and romance manga/LNs for men? And which do you prefer?

I want heavy moments that hurt, I want to actually feel something when I watch it. I want it all.

It might not hit everything you wanted in that the characters are still very chaste compared to the average mindbroken westerner, but they actually work up to having sex in a time frame that's logical for teenagers/young adults and generally behave like human beings.
