I did. I liked that Vash gained the confidence to make his own judgement calls. It was also nice seeing a redemptive ending for him after so much death and destruction had been following after him despite his best efforts. Easily a top 3 anime for me.

Cop-out is a fairly used word in fiction when the story resolves something unsatisfactory, and avoids doing something that ought to do. Like those two surviving after the fucking explosion

Gundam Seed Ep. 25: Turning Point - and boy was it ever. The episode was the midpoint of the 50 episode series and quite possibly the climax as both Athrun and Kira lost someone very close to them on the same battlefield which pitted them against one another.

>Evangelion

>Space Dandy

>Cowboy Bebop

Jupiter Jazz 1-2
>Plastic Memories
Unironically, this was a very good episode, but the series turned out to be a bait and switch so shitty that it make it to be a eternal inhabitant of the "Series with wasted potential" threads
>80's astroboy
Astro Boy's First Love, in muhrrica this is the last episode, on other, i think it was the third. Man, let me tell you, 80's astroboy, like some of the series of the time, was BRUTAL. In this episode Astro is sent to an enemy country base because they have stolen Astro's prototype design and had modified it to store a bomb inside them it to do terrorist attacks. Astro encounters a nice girl robot that helps him reach and navigate the facility. they develop such a good chemistry that they started to like each other. Later, because retrieval of the design papers were not possible, they destroy them alongside with the suicidal bot factory, but Its revealed by the "modder" so to speak, that the girl robot is one of those suicidal robots and then he activates the countdown on the bomb inside her before dying. Astro and the girl try to dfeactivate the bomb, but with the design papers destroyed and the countdown leaving little time, the best course is for astro to dissasemble the girl robot, but this process is irreversible and she could not be assembled ever again. So they confess their feelings for each other before the procedure... Imagine being a child and watching this stuff. I must confess, it still makes my kokoro ache just by membering it.

Episode 1 of Martian Successor Nadesico because of the short lived Gai Daigoji.

Episodes 1-6 of Guilty Crown

The episode of Eureka Seven called Substance abuse when Renton had to bail out Holland's ass when the mission to rescue the Voderac priest turned to shit and Renton while piloting the Nirvash went berserk. Or maybe he went nucking futs and the Nirvash did his bidding. Whatever the case, he never should have used the LFO's compac and amita drive to run DooM.

The space shuttle episode of Cowboy bebop.

The episode of Gundam 0079 when Zeon forces tried to infiltrate the white base by sneaking aboard and it was when Ryu Jose makes a sacrifice.

2000's astro boy, the episode with Neon Express, the Rohbit train that kept going faster and faster.

Patlabor is interesting. I love it really much, but it has some of the best and also some of the shittiest episodes in existence, possibly because of the length

The whole idea behind Roy Fokker was "Sleggar done right". It was always going to end that way.

I wonder what happened to the chef guy

Really like SSSS.DYNAZENON episode 10 (Which Memories Do You Regret?)
>>
>>275246487
For me the short list of the best episodes in all of anime is probably Technolyze episode 19, Touch episode 26, SSSS.Gridman episode 1, Kino’s Journey (2003) episode 2 and Sonny Boy episode 6.

Episode 17 of Giant Gorg when everyone realizes what they've been fucking with was not meant to be fucked with.

Cowboy Bebop episode with this dude in it really stood out to me.

I really liked Gridman episode 9, but Dynazenon’s episode 10 felt too much like a copy of it for me, like the guy was just doing the same shtick again.
I was also pretty dissatisfied that the main guy got nothing in that episode.

Any episode China(the animator) works on is usually a winner. He also did animation for Gridman's dream episode, which is also the best episode of that.

Yes, that opening part, the montage of him in the facility, and the ending theme park fight was so well done and creepy.

I think episodics shows like Champloo and Bebop can manage to have a bunch of perfect stand-alone episodes

Kamille was the end of a show that had already done a ton of shit though. It's mostly shocking that it's the MC but it doesn't really have the same impact, especially give that he gets eventually so it's just a temporary speedbump. Miharu by contrast is just a normal civilian caught up in something she otherwise has no business being involved in just to help her siblings. She's an "enemy" who's not really bad, fell for the otherwise kind of goofy secondary character and these essentially caused her to defect so you assume she's just going to be a new crew member, then she falls out of the plane. She dies a death she never should have had in a war she never should have been part of leaving her young siblings well and truly orphaned (and if you want to go with supplementary material, her brother gets taken in by the Titans, turned into a Cyber Newtype and dies). There's really no positive or happy development that comes from it, it's a sad and ultimately pointless death that should have never happened.

Him sending the wood shares of the exploded bat back at the pitch was so good.

Not just for the outcome, but the final episode of Ippo vs Date is great.

Despise this episode, which is weird because I like Mushroom Samba.

That was definitely the episode that felt the most intense when I first watched FLCL. Still seems like a final episode
