I miss togashi
>>275263268>a month>in a series that hiatuses could go on for almost a decadeWait as long as it takes.
>>275264796I hope the fag will finally die and HxHfags will kill themselves
>doesn’t rely on assistants>destroys his health and has to go on constant hiatuses Was it worth it Togashi?
>>275265457He gets paid no matter what, I'd say it's worth it. Also, he married sailor moon mangaka. The guy doesn't have to work and people beg him to continue working to save their own asses lmao!
>>275265457Knowing how bad shonenshit can get, yes, it was worth gatekeeping it to keep it in its least retarded form possible.

>>275271698The 8 months of tweets made us overly optimistic but still he could come back in either a week or 6 months at this point. We are alone in the dark.
>>275272212Yeah pure bullshit, not happening anytime soon unless Togashi releases 90 more chapters this year.
>>275276576I'm still under the opinion that there's no point in remaking the whole series just to do 1 new anime arc. 99 and 2011 are more than enough
>>275263268read another manga. why pretend like this is the first time this has happened? it wont be the last time either.
>>275271907I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you take time to mourn her properly and reminisce on the good times you had together.
>there are people ITT right that genuinely think we are gonna get a new batch in less than two years
>>275277562Togahsi will probably be 60 and another major mangaka will be dead by the time he comes back
>>275277750>another major mangaka will be dead by the time he comes backTogashi is the one who is killing them.
>>275277750
>>275277815>>275277808Memes aside I do think every time a well known mangaka dies Togashi get s aging of awareness and goes “I could end up like them and my work would be unfinished! I should release some chapters”.I’m just not sure I’m willing to sacrifice enough mangakas to get to the end of the SW
Kind of sad. I’ve finally gotten bored of rereading the arc. I got a new surbscieon in Crunchyroll and realize they don’t have much shit that hasn’t been seen by veteran anime fans .Guess I’ll just have to stalk mangadex for interesting manga for now.
>>275263268im getting worried.right before the last hiatus togashi said he had storyboards finished for the next 10 chapters.now he says he planned out the next 50 chapters and all updates have stopped
>>275278593It kind of does seem like all the pieces are on the board now for this arc and re-reading won't help you as much
>>275279024I actually don’t think we’ve seen all the factions. We haven’t gotten to the rich people in tier 2 who are probably like rinsworth
>>275263409Nope. Machi is forgotten character.
>>275279305Shizuku's disappearance is intriguing too, originally it seemed like she'd be part of what Bonolenov was doing but then she just kind of screws off. Our girls are forgotten.
>>275279494Not forgotten , just paper of the long game. Ging hasn’t been seen in almost 65 chapters, no one thinks he’s forgotten.Ever since I read CA and realized Kurapika hadn’t been a major character for almost 20 volumes, I don’t think Togashi forgets characters. He’s just so fucked from hiatus he can never get to all his story plans.
>>275279494Shizuku is cannon fodder to Hisoka.
>>275278593Read Mozocry’s stuff
Pitou sex
Aw man, a thread, finallyI have been waiting for this since last year, so re-reading the they go for kurapika to join the zodiac, one of his guys says that they get part of their money through gambling...Did he mean like the manage the gambles? Or that they get money winning gambles? Like if it's the later, could it be it's thanks to neon? Like kurapika overwrite chrollo's power doing something like teaching her nen, stealing her ability, or find a nen exorcist to help in the matter?
I understand why Bono would have hard time against Hisoka, but how come Shizukus ability wouldn't work against Hisoka? Couldnt she just suck Hisoka's cum?
How will Togashi fit Hisoka v troupe battles into the arc without rushing it? Each Hisoka fight should have 3 dedicated chapters.
>>275280093>Like kurapika overwrite chrollo's power doing something like teaching her nen, stealing her ability, or find a nen exorcist to help in the matter? That is thought to be a possibility
Anyone thinks mishaps post mortem nen makes no sense? I thought post mortem nen was a one time giant boost. Not some eternal thing that lets your ability live through your corpse. I genuinely don’t get how her ability still functions repeatedly. If it was for one person right when she died, sure, but it’s implied this is some normal thing now.
>>275280419Le momentum… is le conserved…
>>275264796>in a series that hiatuses could go on for almost a decade>thatCould've used where, could've used whose. Instead you decide to be ESL. Shame.
>>275276576>>275276715why would they need to remake the whole series? they could easily do a 2 cour season off what's available now if they just continue off where 2011 left
>>275279739Hisoka doesn't matter even slightly. I'm sure this is why you relate to him.
>>275280292
>>275281275Same reason why Astro Boy from 60s has a remake in the 80s and 2000s, to attract new generations. 2011 fags are already old and no longer the target audience for a young boys series, not even mentioning the 99 fags who are almost or already in their 40s.
How does this arc compare tone and style wise to more serious seinen like monster or Orb. Because reading it it still feels very Shonen. Maybe it’s because of all the super power shit that isn’t usually in serious seinen.
>>275281956Btw I’m not saying this arc isn’t serious and mature. It’s just that despite all that it feels very authentically action Shonen.
>>2752819452011 is popular and very out-in-the-open though. Before 2010 I can see people in the anime community (especially outside of Japan) not really knowing about HxH but it's quite all over the place the past 10 years and still ranked high on modern anime sites. The biggest reason to do a continuation anime instead of a full reboot is because of chapter count, 2011 anime had like an extra 150-200 chapters to adapt compared to hxh99+OVAs but there just isn't necessity for it right now only having 70+ extra chapters
>>275281945>2011 fags are already old and no longer the target audience for a young boys series2011 is very popular among zoomers and stands up well still, its even on netflix
>>275281956It feels shonen in a Death Note kind of way, but this doesn't really answer your question
>>275282219This. Also “mature seinen” tend to lean hard into attempting to be philosophical and deep. While that stuff is sprinkled throughout the series, outside of the Chimera ant arc, that isn’t necessarily one of Togashi’s main goals when writing. Not to say it can’t happen with this arc though. Halk and Nasubi’s meeting was great and the nature of the whale is its own social commentary.
>>275282284if I wanted mature, I wouldn't be watching shonen
We love Neon here more than any other forum. HxH threads are shrines for Miss Neon, our light. We don't let that light go out.
>>275282533Kurapika is fortunate to meet his future wife on his very first job assignment!
Pikt
Kurapeak
Tse's second beast is the reincarnation of Neon. The scarlet eyes acted as medium to draw her to this plain in bid to vanquish Chrollo who will surely come sniffing, like the junkyard dog he is, for Tse's futuresight.
While Greed Island and CA arc happened remember, Kurapika did nothingWhile the Troupe was still doing their regular business of stealing and killing for no reason Kurapika did nothingWhen the Chairman died, when his friend Gon ended up in a coma, and all the Hunters were summoned including some of the spiders Kurapika did nothingWhat is the point of this character now? I seriously doubt he has none since so much time has passed with him doing nothing. I’m curious about what he did during all this time.
Is Chrollo hunting for the ability of another Floor Master? He said that he couldn’t find them when he was at Heavens Arena, and seems to believe that various parties on the Whale are acting as benefactors to powerful fighters, so it would make sense. But I wonder if it will be a new character or someone we already know.
>>275283219Kurapika went on a gameshow of some sort
>>275283247Honestly I'm not sure there exists an ability that counter bungee gum so I cant predict what Chrollo is looking for.. Similar with Bork, no idea what Morena wants Bork to come up with for an ability or how she plans to use it
>>275283347Chrollo is not just wanting to fight Hisoka this time he’s hunting him. But he’s also juggling the future of the spiders with his next move. It will probably cost him his life but it looks like he has a solid plan to follow through and a certain ability in mind to counter not just bungee gum but all the other abilities that might come after him once the treasures get taken. And then there’s what to do after arriving at DC.Honestly the new ability is probably an improved version of Skill Hunter capable of using any skill he wants regardless of conditions, temporary immortality, and being immune to chains and gum.
>>275279129We also don’t know who hired Hisoka. I think it might be one of the queens, but several of them seem poised to become big players even if they haven’t been fleshed out yet.
