Compared to AMWF couples that are extremely common in anime even in those that take place in western settings such as Fate, Monster, LOGH, Saint Seiya, Shuumatsu, etc.
I understand that this may be due to anime usually being directed at a japanese male audience but it's still strange to me how so many artist seem to be allergic to portray a WMAF couple with proper development and a happy ending

I already know where to search if I want to see these types of stories but trust me when I tell you than even in shoujo and josei manga these types of ships are extremely rare, most of the time the male love interest will look white but he'll be japanese or half japanese
