The new anime needs to be visibly gayer. As far as we can tell, this is the high school years, right? Welp. Ramp up the yuri.
>>275272703There's no inceptive. Waifufags may chimp out and yurifags already see it as yuri. If ain't broken, don't fix it
>>275273801>Waifufags may chimp out What part of the west calls "waifufags", are nothing more than a part of the hardcore otaku niche, who in the case of Nanoha also celebrates NanoFate as much as anyone else. This was easy to tell even outside being directly involved with the Japanese community, for example by promotional artworks, merch, and the content in the live events. >yurifags already see it as yuriA franchise doesn't have to have explicit romance to have gay characters, Nanoha used to be second only to Touhou as a yuri franchise in Japan going by number of yuri fanworks. To this day, Nanoha and Fate are still icons of the genre in Japan.
>>275272703When series are truly yuri, we get less fanarts and doujins. When they keep it ambiguous, yuri artists go to work and make tons of fanarts and doujins. So I think it's better if they don't go full yuri.
I still want to see them kiss though.
Reminder that Nanoha went full "I can fix her." immediately. It was on sight.
>>275274807You're thinking about anime that has not a focus on romance. Stuff like battle shonen or sports anime that often have not much on-screen romance, always get a lot fanart and doujin, but this has nothing to do with those series not being "full shonen" or their actual couples being less valid.
I recently watched the first recap movie and it was okay. I want to know if I'm insane or did they change some significant parts of the original story? I could have sworn Fate's mother told Fate directly to her face that she's a clone of Alicia. Also no Yuuno watching Nanoha undress in her room? Come on man that was a very important plot device. Lastly I don't remember Chrono coming out of nowhere to stop Nanoha and Fate from killing each other.
>>275275191The Alicia reveal is identical to the original series down to the lines involved. Movie 1st is pretty faithful where it counts.
>>275272703G-Witch proved that going too explicit brings diminishing returns and that subtext is where it is.
>>275275282Huh. I guess I am just insane then.
>>275275607Both couples are explicit by the end of their series, I think you mean that you don't have to make the plot be about the romantic interactions of the protagonists. And I would agree with that, but also romance anime in general seems to be getting more popular lately.
>>275272703they're just friendstrue yuri has never been tried
>>275276044Lesbian friendship marriage... this must be the fault of the extreme left.
>>275275885No, I mean being explicit with the girl-girl relationship. Nanoha and Fate's relationship isn't explicit so it allows both the waifu otaku and yuri fans to latch to it; meanwhile Suletta and Miorine was kind of explicit so waifu otaku loathed the show while yuri fans were largely indifferent.
>>275272703>Yuritardopinion discarded
>>275276291>waifu-otakuThat isn't a real thing, it's just a cartoon stereotype that some old-fashioned anime fans from the west still have.>was kind of explicitSomething doesn't have to be explicit to be canon, both marriages are implicit, but both are part of the narrative of their respective franchises.
>>275276374Go be a stupid faggot somewhere else.
From what I gathered online, new manga is >set after Detonation>They are working as a task force called Exceedsfor a United Nations of a machine worshipping planet called Darzana>Nanoha is a plane otaku now>Hayate is using an adult form around 30 years old
>>275277974That explains the United Nations thing. I thought that was odd as fuck when they posted the singular portion of it to their Twitter.
>>275277974Elaborate on the plane part
>>275274439>>275275107You'll never get this on Nanoha. You'll always have to come up with headcanons and double entendres
>>275276514Anime is entirely built on parasocial relationships and modern waifus are basically virtual idols. Hell, Nana Mizuki is a famous seiyuu idol as well.
>>275276291No, everyone loved the fact that Suletta and Miorine married each other. That's exactly what Nanoha needs.
>>275280044>SuleMio>officially married but don't feel like they did and minimal chemistry outside of fan art>NanoFate>not officially married but feel like they are a real household for a long time alreadygay as fuck scenes since season one of TV animeIt is really weird.
>>275280180>gay as fuck scenesI wish. Nothing really gay happened in Nanoha. Even Precure, a kids cartoon, is gayer than Nanoha nowadays. It's embarrassing.
>>275280452>t. movie watcherThat's why I keep telling people to watch the TV versions
What's so lyrical about Nanoha?
>>275277974>around 30 years oldShe's going to get arrested.
>>275280951The OP and ED
>>275281108Then why doesn't every anime have Lyrical in the title?
>>275280622The fact that they are still friends even in Vivid really undermines the yuri. It's fine to rely on doujins and imagination but it gets stale after a decade or so.

>Finished Detonation>Eltorians have 10x Muscle and Bone density>Yuri being the Warden of Book of Darkness out of nowhere>Formula is broken AF >Using NANOMACHINES too>Iris is some kind of Android that can manipulate bio matter easilyWhy does Strikers even exist then?
