Mortals always have to be below that amount. So the highest power level we've seen from a mortal is somewhere around 80,000,000, and I think it was Mammothman. Buffaloman when using friendship power also reaches 80,000,000. You can't really be angry about power levels being nonsensical though because the new lore with how friendship power works basically entirely invalidates power levels, even though power levels still exist, anyone with friendship power can arbitrarily raise their level to match the opponent. Although friendship power only really works for people that have gotten close to Kinnikuman and have learned true friendship.

He cannot permanently absorb friendship power, this is something he failed to understand, he can use it temporarily but he can't permanently raise his power with it. If you act out of line with friendship then friendship power won't support you, it'll only give you strength if you act in a friendship way with forgiveness as shit. Also Aristera got his ass kicked by Satan, we don't know what his current power level is at the moment. If he succeeded he would be the first one to surpass 100,000,000, but since he failed I don't know.

He's a DB character in Kinnikuman's world, and could definitely hit god level if he kept training. Kinnikuman, on the other hand, gets to pool his power with all of his friends. And with Kinnikuman's higher level of friendship power (which is what the BIS was retconned into being), his opponent also counts in that pool. In fact The One talks about how humanity shows too much potential now, which is why he used the tournament to weed out which ones would be the strongest to see which among mortals should become new gods eventually. The Man lost hope in humanity for ages because they never truly showed potential to surpass the gods, but finally they showed a bit of potential recently, this is what he wanted all along. The problem is it came too late, which is why he had trouble accepting it. They were always trying to get humans to surpass them from the start.I don't think they really gave much of a shit about Aristera in the end, or they didn't think about him at all. Even when he finally reached The Man, he was just calmly listening to Mozart.

There's like 140 seats in heaven for gods, but there's only 139 chojin gods, no one existed to fill the final seat. But no new gods were coming into existence to fill the seat. So they decided to create mortals to one day fill the seat, so the heavens would finally have all the god seats full one day. Mortals were created ultimately to become one of the gods, but the mortals that were created never showed promise, they were selfish and cruel beings that often genocided each other at random, so the gods thought they failed to create good beings and decided to wipe them out. But the Man said it was too quickly to give up, he said he would renounce his godhood to take good mortals under his wing, and teach them to become more perfect so one day they could potentially be the thing that would become like gods. And for awhile it was pretty good, he created good beings that were nearly perfect, this lead to the creation of true chojin, which also lead to the creation of justice and devil faction chojin, all chojin descended from The Man creating order in the terrible chojin world, giving them actual structure. For a few hundred million years it showed a lot of promise, but the mortals had a hard limit, they couldn't surpass the gods, The Man fell into despair. Without some miraculous power from out of nowhere mortals couldn't go any further. And they found a miraculous power, called magnet power, but ultimately this was a failure. And they found another miraculous power, called friendship power, this one ended up a little better. The Man by this point was a bit too bitter to accept a miracle out of nowhere, but ultimately accepted that friendship power worked. Once The Man lost to mortals, The One desended to the human realm to test humanity, if they had finally suceeded where they had failed for billions of years.

thanks OP for posting this! I watched the anime adaptation a long time ago so it was nice to see the comic version. But I must say I much prefer the anime, mainly since the voice casting was just too damn good
