I love the ending now.The show wasn't popular enough in JP, so it got canceled after 1 season until Cartoon Network helpd fund a season 2 (due to its popularity in the west) and intervened. I believe a 3rd season was planned for, so the ending we got wasn't quite the ending I think the director wanted. Yet I think it was still a great way to end it. I still get emotional watching it.
