thank you for readingwe started this journey on may 9th 2024 and after coming all this way and (re-)experiencing 500 chapters of gagtama and 200 chapters of plottama, I can say for certain: Gintama is pretty good.after this re-read I have a lot less problems with the ending arcs, although I would really have preferred if Shoyou got more screentime before the Utsuro reveal. And maybe rework Enshou entirely. But all in all, it wasn't as much of disaster of an ending as I remembered it to be. ultimately all the shenanigans with the ending added to the mythos of Gintama and Sorachi, I wouldn't have it any other way.The storytime is not quite finished yet, as a bonus I'll dump the Koujien fanbook which contains a long interview between Sorachi and all the editors that worked on the series.

I think the format of a few chapters a day worked extremely well as opposed to a volume a week. Had something to look forward to every day and it was more than just one chapter. You started this early last year so it's been a long journey. At that time other storytimes I was following were Seki, ranma, and kingdom hearts. This is the last one of those that I was reading. Truly a wonderful time. Will read and add my thoughts on the finale itself.
